Dr. Irwig and Kevin Malley on The Truther Girls Radio Show June 7th

Anyone who has not seen a truther girl video yet please have a look at these below. Please watch all three to understand the context in which the interview will be placed.

Martin, everyone here is perfectly capable of finding truther girls’ videos without you posting them in my thread. Don’t worry about “the context in which the interview will be placed.” Now get out of my thread.

There’s so much information on this forum it’s not possible for everyone to do due diligence all the time. If there’s nothing wrong with the videos you shouldn’t be worried about them being posted.

Context is just as important as the information itself.

I’m not worried the videos they’re irrelevant. I don’t want you posting needless stuff in my thread.

Raising awareness is more important. Again, get out of my thread.

FYI received an update from Dr. Irwig and he will not be participating in the interview.

@MEW

I cant help but be curious … he did not know exactly what he was agreeing to, right? He thought it was a different kind of program?

Unfortunately in life and on the internet you are who you assocate with. I do understand the serious reservations regarding putting our message out on this website or radio show. You also have to realize Merck would use any connection to such a website in their ongoing campaign to undermine our credibility. Nothing against SA, just those are the facts.

Well should definitely look into getting on another program.

EDIT: That guy who runs the nationwide hairloss radio show, why not try to get on that show with a few victims and one of the doctors who has conducted research like Irwig? If they would let us on of course. If or if not they want to get into some kind of debate about it, it’ll still be worth while.

If Dr. Irwig won’t be on the show, then I won’t either.

What I dont understand is why some people dont cant comprehend this. These are fully grown men that we are talking about not little children. Why do they need this to be spelled out for them, over and over again?

Oscar, you have no idea why Dr Irwig backed out. It has nothing to do with what you mentioned. I would send you the e-mail but you’re too much of a pussy to even give your e-mail.

Why would you not consider going on without Dr. Irwig?

Awareness is still awareness and to be able to share your story on radio could be helpful. However it’s your call of course, considering recent discussions and concerns in this thread.

She did misrepresent Dr. Irwig’s research and I feel she can misrepresent or miscontrue anything I’ve said or done. I haven’t made any final decisions yet.

But it’s still a medium for me to publically bitch out Ron Rogers, so I am still undecided.

As much as I feel hostility towards the Merck crew (which extends way beyond Ronald Rogers), I am not sure if this would be productive. It is uncertain he would ever come across this video, but it could contribute to the perception that PFS sufferers are mentally/emotionally unstable from causes that are unrelated to the medication. I think we can come up with much more incisive and clever ways to retaliate but I understand that it would feel cathartic to publicly display the injustice on YouTube. Just some food for thought for when you decide whether or not you feel it is worth it to go on the “Truther Girls”.

why didnt try contact the others media that already treated Pfs?

or maybe it exists in USA some kind of health channel

better media strategy better effect

How many people does this show reach?
I think it is a valid outlet to challenge this guy. Something like: “Ron Rogers, please explain to me why my sex hormones have droped after i took Propecia.” or “I have very low 3 Adiol G levels. This hormone is low only on intersexual born individuals and women. So it is impossible i ve been born like this. So why is it so low after i took propecia?”
If she buys your challenge, and invite this guy to go on the show to respond to your critics (and keep pushing it), this could become a tricky situation for Merck. They don’t wan’t this publicity. Even if it is an employe saying “Propecia is perfectly safe, bla bla bla…”, people realize there is something going on… And if they don’t send anyone, it also does not look good to them. The silence benefits Merck. And imagine if she could put you Second and Ron Rogers on a second show… Ask her for that. You want to be face to face to someone from Merck, to get explanations. That you have all your medical exams, and you can prove you are not the same anymore.
Honestly, i feel this could jump start something bigger. Who knows if a journalist from a good media source follows this show and want to write about your case?
I say please go!! Depeding how the show is done, you could create a situation where Merck is forced to respond.

I don’t see how this could be so risky for our image as so many of you are saying. Remember… it is her show. If she misinterpret something, she is the one risking her image. We have solid and credible voices on our side now. Dr. Irwin Goldstein, Dr. Irwing from George Washington, the research from Dr. Traish, the last label changes from FDA, class action lawsuits in three countries… We have facts. The only risk i see is if she were to ridicule our claims. But i didn’t see that in the first video she made.

On this show? Probably not. Main stream national show or newspaper, yes.

This could be the first step to be on a national show… as i said, who knows if a journalist follows this, or listens to it by accident and gets interested. Right now, we need as much publicity as we can get, in my opinion.

Well we’ve already had stories published in two national (international?) magazines and no TV station took it up then. So I don’t know if the truther girls is going to be what kick starts it. I am all about media attention but its hard to generate interest in our problem when there are relatively few of us, and our problem is not acutely deadly, dispite the horrible even torturous suffering we are going through. What needs to be done is finasteride and other 5-AR-2 inhibitors NEED to be pulled from the market immediately at least specifically for hairloss. For BPH they would hesitate on that, but for alopecia, even the FDA should concide that the risks far far outweigh the rewards of a full hairline, even if its only 1 in 100 (200, 300) who get these side effects.

Doctors are handing this stuff out to guys in their late teens and 20’s like candy. My doctor didn’t even tell me about any side effects at all when he gave me the stuff years ago. Its almost like its some kind of fucking conspiracy to reduce the human population by making young men impotent and sterile. But seriously, this stuff needs to be fucking researched more, DHT is vital for human male development and I still can’t believe I was stupid enough to take this stuff. Obviously there is some reason that we get the side effects so bad and others get it either mildly or not at all, and that reason, that causation for PFS will be what will lead us directly to a cure.

Basically there are two goals with all this media attention effort:

  1. Warn the mass public about finasteride and get it removed from the market.

  2. Get people (insitutions) interested in finding a causation for the condition and eventually and god help us, a cure.

It’s unlikely, but you never know. CBS Philly didn’t want to do Randy’s story; but when the first lawsuits were filed, they became interested went ahead and did it. Since you were among the first to file a lawsuit, you were partly responsible for getting Randy’s story out. And now Randy’s family are actively involved in PFS research and awareness. You never know what your actions might lead to. One thing we can’t do is nothing, which is what just about everyone here is doing.
