Do you have health insurance in Brazil, or can you get cover e.g through a member of your family? If so, and if you are able to come over and stay for a while you might find it easier (and much cheaper) to get the blood tests done here and then take the results back with you to the US.

Besides, I don’t have that much disposable income as you to splurge on these doubtful doctors.
I once took something to counter SHGB and it gave me great orgasms, so I think it’s the way to go.

Really not sure how to respond to that especially considering some of the statements in the last few paragraphs. But, I do notice you mention cost about three times in that post. There is a reaon why guys like Jacobs practice in the US and not someplace else. I don’t have a negative view of Jacobs as a doctor or person but he hasn’t yet cured anyone of PFS yet. So, complaining about what it would cost to find out no one can treat this at the moment is a bit pointless.

bunch of medication that increase libido, orgasm.
I think there is value in seeing the docs personally. I know not everyone agrees with this and personally I’ve taken a bit of a break from the constant labs, appointments, phone consults, etc. since I carried on with that for over a year with no improvement. If you can affort to see Jacobs or Shippen go ahead, I don’t think it’s a waste. But if you cannot afford it you really arn’t missing out on anything since no one is having any success with treatment right now.

Not contradicting at all. There is value for the PFS community in trying things via the docs and documenting more case studies for further research. Just saying not to expect huge gains in your recovery much less being cured.
His consultation fee is $600 I know. How much will bloodwork cost on an average to see him? Please i want to know from his patients.

He did post a clarification about the word ‘cure’. He said was indeed able to bring back functionality to most of them.
I don’t know why you have to be a skeptic. That is the irony of many people on this site. We are claiming hundreds of thousands of people to be suffering and yet, based on just 2000 or so members on this site, we want to conclude that Dr.Jacobs could not have helped 300 people?
And Charlatan? thats so offensive a word to use for a physician. Did you get a list of all of his patients, call them up to verify how they were feeling. As far as spare money, goes, no I do not even have money to see Dr.Jacobs. If I had spare money I would have contributed.

Mark I’m just trying to give you a heads up in regards Dr.Jacobs if want to use his services thats your business, but I would stay away from him.
if you have Low T and Low bioavailable T, his method of treatment is generally TRT. Unforutnately not many have claimed any real benefits from this. In fact many people here have ok levels of T or highish T and still struggle with PFS. Also, his last post was quite a little strange sorting out different cases of PFS.
My current bloodwork shows…I have hypogonadal total T and yet high bio-available T (due to very low SHBG). I have never really gotten a well administered TRT.

Also, I have voiding issues and bowel control issues that developed at the same time. Very high level of pelvic numbness and yet no pelvic pain. Have been on SSRIs in the past. I need a neuro-endocrinologist rather than one specialist I feel. If I could visit Dr. Mariano I would have loved to do that.

Did you read the thread? His method is TRT. It doesn’t help most people.
