What (if any) treatments have you undertaken to recover from your side effects since discontinuation of the drug?
Viagra 20mg/day for the last 3 days. Whey isolate 100 grams/day. Supplementing amino acids.
If you have pre or post-drug blood tests, what hormonal changes have you encountered since discontinuing the drug (please post your test results in the “Blood Tests” section and link to them in your post)?
Blood pre-treatment:
Testosterone (total): 651 ng/dL
Testosterone (free): 111 pg/mL
DHT (total): 53 ng/dL
DHT (free): 5.83 pg/mL
LH: 6.3 mIU/mL
FSH: 3.5 mIU/mL
Estradiol: 19.7 pg/mL
SHBG: 37.2 nmol/L
Prolactin: 11.9 ng/mL
Cortisol: 12.7 ug/dL
DHEA-Sulfate: 253.0 ug/dL
Pregnenolone: 75 ng/dL
Blood post-treatment
I am waiting to get the same panel done (everything was LCMS/MS or high sensitivity assay). In the mean time I’ve received some hormonal blood work, but they are not high sensitivity assays, as the urologists I’ve seen so far are completely illiterate and questioned whether I was “born” with the penile changes, and were hesitant to order comprehensive blood panels.
Testosterone (total): 544 ng/dL
Testosteroe (free): 97 pg/mL
SHBG: 33 nmol/L
LH: 5.3 mIU/mL
FSH: 3.1 mIU/mL
I will post more bloodwork, E2, etc. when the results come in.
Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience?

Tell us your story, in your own words, about your usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.

Long story short, I was completely aware of the terrible side effects caused by 5ar innhibitors. I did extensive research and decided that clascoterone was the safest option to combat hair loss, because of its pharmacokinetics. However, I was completely wrong. This chemical has destroyed my penis in the matter of only two weeks.

The first week I experienced very high libido and strong morning erections. Since clascoterone is an AR antagonist, I was experiencing higher levels of free T. Yet, I first noticed sides the second week. The first thing I noticed was spasming in my left arm. It was strange and uncontrollable. I’ve had these before, but usually stretching stops the spasming, or it subsides shortly. This was different however; the spasming would not stop no matter what I did. Moreover, the next day the same arm was very tight and began to hurt a little bit. The next morning I was woken up my extreme muscle spasming in my back/lats, to the point that I could not fall back asleep. At this point I was very concerned. Almost immediately after these spasms, I noticed a very faint testicular pain, which became more painful each day. I started lowering my dose progressively each day in an attempt to mitigate the sides, but they seemed to get worse until the end of the second week when I stopped completely. It wasn’t until after stopping that I woke up to see dramatic changes to my penis.

Right now, my testicles have shrank about 20-30%. My penis has lost considerable girth as well. There is extra skin, which has a wrinkled appearance. Moreover, I now have this piece of shit hourglass shape, where the middle of my shaft is constricted. I’ve always had a leftward bend on my penis, but now the angle is more severe. I had a doppler test done; no signs of plague or fibrosis, but I’m still scared. Now, what scares me the most are: hard flaccid and excess scrotal skin. My penis has become very rigid and hard when flaccid. Secondly, there is so much scrotal skin that I’m worried I might have to get surgery for it. My balls hang extremely low now, and I cannot run without feeling them swinging. It’s bizarre. My penis has lost so much integrity in such a short period of time. I feel awful.

I’m seeking urologists who specialize in PFS. So far, two of them have told me that it’s reversible. I’m hopeful but scared to death of permanent damage. I may have a different situation than most of you who’ve taken 5ar inhibitors. I have not experienced any adverse psychological/cognitive effects. Moreover, no gastrointestinal issues. However, I have been losing muscle and strength recently as well. I’ve done lots of reading on this forum, so I’m aware of some treatment options. I will ask my urologists which ones they think are best suited for my situation.

Lastly, I was not skeptical of PFS whatsoever, but I wasn’t aware of the possible morphological changes to penile tissue and shrinkage; rather, I only knew of ED and loss of libido. Anti-androgens are absolute garbage. I cannot believe that the small, vocal minority of men online who plead of the harmful dangers of anti-androgens are seen as crazy hypochondriacs. Shameful.

What was the source of clascoterone? Have you checked purity of the powder?

I purchased from science.bio. They provide purity testing from S&N labs, which showed 99.7% purity. Unless the company is fraudulent, I’m making the assumption that what I took was truly clascoterone. Nevertheless, I’m trying to find a lab in Los Angeles that will do purity testing so I can derermine if science.bio is compromised.

better to double check.
sone are not pure at all.
clascoterone, they clam it dilutes in blood, so no systemic sides they say.

@whathaveidone4669,
You wanted to know what happens when “safer” medications like Breezula come out, here is your answer.

I read on hair loss talk of people having side effects from breezula too. Some guy said his shoulders got smaller and another guy said his libido was weaker. Same story like you they got the chemical earlier. They didn’t indicate whether they got theirs tested at a lab though.

I’m skeptical that it probably doesn’t matter and really suspicious that Cassiopeia the company is lying about no side effects from this drug. That topical finasteride company lied the same way too.

Let us know about your own lab test purity though. It could be that Science Bio company just sold you finasteride.

What time did you get your bloodwork? I did quick scan and these are my findings:

  • Lowish E2 (19 pg/ml). You’re in the low E2 subset. If your post treatment level is lower, which I suspect to be the case since your T is lower, then this may explain your libido issue.

  • Lowish Cortisol (12.7 ug/dl) especially if this is in the morning when cortisol is highest. Check your post treatment level.

5AR or not it’s still an anti androgen and can give you the same shitty condition as PFS. I never even used finasteride and landed myself here thinking I was safe.

If Breezula doesn’t lower DHT like they claim then DHT has nothing to do with our issues. But it probably does lower DHT, just another lie.

It’s a steroidal AR antagonist, meaning CB binds to the AR inside the cell cytoplasm, and blocks the usual AR signaling pathway. It’s hard to find data on CB besides wiki, but the binding affinity for AR is supposed to be lower than testosterone, so less powerful than ru58841. This is why people have dismissed CB as a weak anti-androgen; yet, the company Cassiopea claims that it competes for AR with DHT, which seems likely given that the sides I’ve experienced are the same one would get in a state of androgen deprivation.

Yeah. CB would theoretically be superior to other anti-androgens currently available if it didn’t go systemic like Cassiopea claims; however, it now may potentially be more dangerous than finasteride, given that it blocks AR from T and DHT. May I ask, what AA did you take?

To be honest, I don’t have libido issues whatsoever. My libido is unaffected. For the cortisol - that was AM cortisol, so yes. I will be checking. I’ve been trying to get ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic hormone) checked but no labs I’ve ordered blood from check it. ACTH abnormality would be most pertinent for my situation because it was the marker used to determine HPA axis suppression in patients who underwent the 1% acne (Winlevi) trials.

It could also be something like RU, flutamide, enzalutamide, spiro, etc. I have not had any changes to my face, shoulders, or any other body parts.

I took one for the team, as they say.

Right. If it turns out to be pure CB, then my personal theory is that CB doesn’t rapidly hydrolyze into cortexelone (cortisol precursor); rather, it enters circulation and binds to AR in tissue at a rate faster than hydrolization, making it unsafe and no different than flutamide.

Just curious but if you’ve waited this long not trying finasteride, what made you try clascoterone without waiting for it to go public and waiting to see if people posted online about side effects?

The company is probably pulling the same shit Merck did and trying to get the drug approved and then later they know they’ll have to admit the trials participants had permanent side effects.

I read the trials for CB for treating acne and mpb. Both trials were published stating no adverse sexual side effects, besides HPA suppression (which reversed after 4 weeks of stopping treatment). I’m also considering HPA suppression as a contributor to my situation.

I also read the experiences of a handful of users on hairlosstalk/baldtruth. Most did not document sexual sides, but rather things related to elevated cortisol. I didn’t want to use a chemical that went systemic to a large degree like finasteride, hence why I opted for CB, because of its purported safety profile.

Just wanted to update everybody. I’ve been taking clomid 25mg EOD, cialis 5mg, and 1mg anastrozole twice/week. I had my labs checked again: total T came out to 422, E2 was 40. If I’m not mistaken, the clomid and cialis together were ever so steadily bringing my penis back to life, until today, when I made a huge mistake. The clomid has been giving me a bit of an inflammation on my scalp, so I decided to use my ketoconazole shampoo (which contains saw palmetto) to relieve the itchiness. Lo and behold, a few hours later I had testicular pain. Two weeks of progress gone. Moreover, my penis is morphing badly again -hourglassing, hard-flaccid, shriveling.

I actually can’t believe this shit. So far I’ve read a few people say they’ve experienced crashes on shampoos like Regenepure. I’ll speak to my doctor about this, but is it really possible that saw palmetto via shampoo caused me to “crash” again?

Edit: I had no problems with this shampoo before experiencing sides on CB-03-01.

Did you get the CB tested?

Yea it’s possible you can crash from saw palmetto shampoo. It’s weaker but you’re probably more susceptible now than before you took CB.

Read my story and you’ll see what regenepure dr did to me don’t think your safe using topicals I used it for years without any issue then slowly got the side effects and crashed severely.
