Cap's Story

Ok, I might as well post here. Cap, thanks for allowing me to share your thread. I read through tons of threads, coupled with my own beliefs about what has happened to us. I noticed that I had about 4 major baseline improvements over the last 14 months since the crash. one of the upswings was following Progesterone use, and 3 others following acohol intoxication. This month, I have actually had 2 upswings with a total of 3-4 days of complete restoration of senstiviity on penis, ejaculation, and of course sexual thoughts. Even a day where I wanted to race home and masturbate I was so horny at work (hadnt had that in 14 months) Nowā€¦following all 4 major upswings, there were folllowing downswings, some very very down. However, the bounce back affect has provided improvements that seem to have stuck. I am definitely thinking about sex all the time now and I have more sweat (less dryness).

Now here is the very strange thing that has happened. I am itching all over, scalp, leg, shoulder, arm, eyebrows (esepcially in areas that thinnned because of the crash), ankle etc. With all this itching has come an increase in sexual function and thoughts.

Obvioulsy, I am not a doctor, and I cannot recommend this to people because of the risks, but I have noticed great baseline improvements. I read other threads, and many people who improved or had giant baseline improvements were also drinkers. Even Chi wrote, that he noticed his upward improvements were kick offed by drinking. The fact that more than a few people have experienced this has lead me to try this.

Reposting this so it doesnā€™t get lost on the last page since it was toward the end.

Also from earlier on that page:

So your libido is back to normal and that has stuck? For how long? Has anything else gone back to normal or improved significantly without regressing? Also forgive me if Iā€™m misunderstanding at all. Brain fog is pretty bad today. Thanks for sharing as well.

Periods of normal, but my lows are with better libido if that makes sense. For the first 8 months 90% of the time I didnt not really care to masturbate other than to test everything. This isnt happening. Even when libido and sexual function are lower, I am enjoying masturbation more. This is a slow slow slow process.

Best indicator now, when I stand next to a girl, I am getting sexual thoughts and arousal

Yes, I know what you mean. I went through the same process of gaining little improvements with the cycles. I canā€™t say Iā€™m recovered but sex definitely is more enjoyable now. Sometimes I manage to have really really intense orgasms with full or at least decent sensitivity.

Gmmoura- do you drink alcohol? Have any of your spikes been associated with alcohol?

Finatruth,
Not that I can remember. I donā€™t drink alcohol very often, though.

Iā€™ve gotten wasted a few times fairly recently. No noticeable effect on my condition. Iā€™m going to pick up tribulus soon and see if I can bump up test a bit since mine is low. See what that does.

Finatruth, Iā€™ve seen your recent posts on alcohol consumption, so I tried a little experiment on my own ā€“ fairly heavy drinking for a few days starting late last week. But I felt no effect, either while drunk or in the days after. If anything, the day after/hangover feeling was worse than it used to be, but maybe Iā€™m just getting old.

Anyway, I donā€™t doubt that itā€™s getting results for you ā€“ just points to how complex this is. Seems like it just affects different pathways differently in all of us, so weā€™ll all just respond differently to various treatments. I think Iā€™ve gone a bit crazy on here reading highly specific dietary suggestions (cut out all red meat!) that are then completely contradicted by another userā€™s experiences (embrace the paleo diet!).

Recentquitter- sometimes I feel worse for a few days, which actually precipitates a giant upward swing. See how you feel in a couple of weeks. Weā€™re you intoxicated?

Oh definitely. The hangover Wednesday was really bad. And my mood has been bad too ā€“ but maybe thatā€™s because Iā€™ve spent more time than usual in here the last week or so. I just recently crossed the 1-year mark of quitting Propecia, and so itā€™s sort of hit me hard how radically and persistently this has affected my life.

Also, randomly, I saw your posts about commissioning a study on your own. I wonā€™t pretend to be an expert on the science of this stuff, but a lot of the material youā€™ve posted has seemed on the right track, at least to me. Please keep us posted ā€“ maybe itā€™s something you can team up with the foundation on? Itā€™s an area Iā€™d potentially be interested in contributing to financially as well.

My girlfriend dumped me for good today. We were basically one soul in two bodies and even that was ruined by PFS. It has really taken everything from me. I donā€™t even know what to say.

Sorry man. Whenever you devalue yourself, others start to devalue you as well. The first step is to pick yourself up and be stronger. Make some goals and push yourself through to achieving them. Donā€™t fall off the wagon and wait for someone else to pick you up again, itā€™s up to you. Good luck.

Sorry to hear that Cap. Maybe the one benefit that comes out of this is that you can focus completely on your recovery.

Howā€™s the physical stuff going?

Cap, I hear you too. Iā€™m in the same boat as you right now.

I feel Iā€™ll now have to resort to a life alone and focus on any slight recovery and things I can try to enjoy in life, like my kids.

PM me if you want to talk,

No change. Brain fog has gotten worse.

I think Iā€™m going to drive out of state and get away from everything for a while.

Hang in there Cap. I had a bad slump a few weeks ago, and rebounded. You doing ok with diet?

This is more for me tracking progress than anything so feel free to ignore this post.

Based on the recoveries here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6851 on Wednesday, July 24th, I began the following:

  • Blue Up (test booster) 2-4 pills a day
  • DIM 4+ pills a day
  • Choline 1-2 pills a day
  • ZMA 3 pills before bed
  • Workout routine
  • Healthier diet

Iā€™ll report back if it makes any difference in the next few months. So far Iā€™ve noticed more pep in my step and less brain fog. Weā€™ll see.
