Been gone for a while but wanted to check in - almost 100%

Isocort, that was the adrenal support supplements I took.
I wont say what worked for me will work for everyone here. From my experience it seems propecia affected many people many different ways. Im hoping though that everyone can recover from the nightmare.

I think my last pill was in 2001 but not sure but it took a few years to recover, its all such a blur and a nightmare to think about. I went to so many doctors only to be told it was all in my head etc. Very frustrating. I did accupuncture which helped with some of the symptoms.
My recovery wouldve taken less time if I knew how to treat it but I had to self treat, experiment etc.

Mitch what were your thyroid homone levels (TSH, T4, etc.) ?

You can do simple at home tests that will give you a good idea of how well your adrenals are functioning. One of them is to go into a dark room with a mirror and a small flashlight. Look in the mirror with the flashlight pointed at the mirror and turn it on. Your pupils will be dialated from the dark room, when the flashlight comes on, your pupils should contract and stay that way. Most likely they will contract and then fluctuate in and out or just dialate again, indicating adrenal fatigue. I would bet almost everyone here has a varying degree of adrenal fatigue.

Thanks for checking in Mitch. Iā€™ve been trying to fix my adrenals and thyroid issues, I had heard of both the supps you used, but forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me, Iā€™ll be giving them a shot.

Definitely give them a try, stick with it for a while though, remember the body has been through hell for so long and it will take a while to recover.
Good luck

Its been so long I cant really remember what the numbers were and Ive moved and dont know where the paperwork is anymore.
I know they were slightly off when I first got tested and around the same time they had revised the numbers which made me fall more into the hypo category.

Mithc

I saw your blood report. your Total T was not bad. you were already in good range, not effected very badly. I think that is the reason you recovered.

would hcg clomid help adrenal fatigue and thyroid in anyway?
and mitch did ur balls sag and hang lower than it used to?

It may have been the reason but it still took a long time but then again, what worked for me may not work for many here. Its such a hit or miss thing. Im still amazed this stuff is being sold and merck hasnt been held accountable to this day!!!

I suffered by using Sawpalmetto which is OTC stuffe and my values are near hypo gonadal level. what would you say about this?

i just did the flashlight test and i failed, my pupils got tiny, then kept moving,
i wonder what treatments there are to cure adrenal and thyroid fatigueā€¦mitch when u said u didnt want to try thyroid meds what did u mean(cytomel)? and did armor really work the best?

Saw Palmetto blocks DHT as well and yes, unfortunately many have suffered similar reactions with it, I have no idea why. I know theres got to be a logical reason but until someone pulls their head out of their ass like merck and starts researching and admitting fault we wont know for sure.

One thing for sure, blccking dgt is not a good thing, I think we can agree with that.

I cant remember what meds the doctors wanted to put me on but it was the typical synthetic thyroid drugā€¦it may have been levoxyl. Anyway, the synthetic meds only replaced t4 and there are a lot of horror stories out there, typical internet of course, but I choose armour becuase it had both thyroid t4 adn t3 I believe. Anyway, it worked for me as well as the isocort and now, I dont have to take either anymore so there you have it

Mitch, I first of all would like to thank you for coming here and discussing your recovery with us. You are one of the very few people who have had long term permanent side effects who has recovered. I was wondering how long it took you to recover once on the thyroid pill? Did you feel a change right away?

No they didnt, just the opposite before I got better

When I started taking armour I felt a clearer head within a day or two but more so that I wasnt so damn tired. Within a week I felt better but it seemed to taper off, thats when I started also taking the isocort with the armour. The improvement was gradual but it was the only thing that worked. I was so happy to finally feel better. My first improvement was the brain fog. Living with that for years was a nightmare. It started to lift within a month.

I wonder if we all have some kind of thyroid issue? Wouldnā€™t it be great if what worked for you worked for all of us and we could get on with our lives?

I know many here are dealing with the same nightmare I had. I remember going to so many doctors and to be told it was all in my head. BS. I got so frustrated! I tried so many different approaches, I was desperate.
I would give it a try guys, what do yo uhave to lose???

Mitch, did you ever have libido problems?

If so can you tell me how this came back online? Was it all in one go or was it a gradual thing?

Also what drugs do you think were responsible for bringing it back online?

Many people on this forum are more educated about the human body than I am, so maybe someone could answer this question for me: Could taking Armour harm your body if your thyroid is working ok?

The reason I am asking is I know that when you add things to your body, sometimes it shuts down natural production. Testosterone is a good example. If you start taking T, sometimes your body stops making it and it can be rough getting your system started again.
