I will take Remeron for the 1st time tonight. Hope it will help with my sleep issues…
How long does it take to make effect for you (about sleep)? I’ve seen on the web that it is fastest than other antidepressants (the 1st night you sleep)
Are you still currently taking Remeron ?
Can you be Off Remeron and sleep again ? (pre-finasteride situation)

I have been taking it 2 weeks now
I can normally feel it working after 45 minutes
Take it an hour before bed
I’m sure you stop taking it if your mood and sleep improves

I didn’t sleep last night (as usual at this point) but maybe the antidepressant needs few days or weeks to get effective.

Just for information purpose,
I have tried REMERON just for a few days so probably the antidepressant has not done its effect at this point.
But, the side effects associated with it (constipation, feeling stone, still unable to REM sleep well) lead me not to continue with it. I have to go back to work next week, so I want to be on the safe side.
I’m back on Zoloft (50 mg) which I know its effects on me. This SSRI shouldn’t prevent me from sleeping as I was already taking it some years ago (before having taken propecia) and I remember I slept very well during this time.
Maybe, Propecia emphasizes the depression I was subject to.

Well… Just over another 100 members and the forum will have reached 3,000 members.
Still not many considering this fucking pill is still been popped daily by innocent men.
It really does make me wonder if the amount of members will rise significantly over the coming months or years, especially after the law suits and if the FDA pull it from the market.

I would have taken the Remeron for at least one week.
Zoloft is about the worst anti depressant anybody can take, especially for numbing your emotions.
Please don’t take Zoloft, it will do more harm than good in the long term.
If you don’t sleep well, why not try zopiclone?

Zoloft (50 mg) + workout has helped me sleeping.
Sleep = 4 hours straight each night approx.
It’s such a relief !

I experienced the harshest and deadliest level of impotency and erectile dysfunction after consuming just 1mg of finasteride. In under 9 hours. i went from 100 to 0. I used to have rock solid erections and erections that lasted for hours!. But the first dose of finasteride as little as 1mg brought me to impotency.
I think everyone who takes Finasteride for a long time will be damaged in some way.
What would you describe as a long time?
5 years or more. At that amount of time I dont think anyone will escape the side effects in some form.
The side effects are irrespective of usage. People have identical issues after 1mg use then someone like me who took it for 9 years
I disagree I took the drug for a month back in 2003 I got bad mental and physical sides from it but they fully went away weeks after I stopped taking it. Then when I had sudden hair loss in 2010 I took it again but it wasnt until a year into taking it that the side effects really kicked in such as extreme fatigue and not being able to sleep. I had a lot of mental sides while on it but it wasnt until I came off the drug that the sexual sides kicked in.
There is definitely something which happened to me when I quit the drug. Once off the drug, most of my sides went into over-drive and remain until this present day.
Before the end of 2014 this forum will have reached well over 4000 members

See I never lost am erections or nocturnal erections even when I crashed before I got on TRT… Never lost them and I have been having sex dreams again since I got on TRT so how do u explain this???
