Anonnn's Blood Work

Below is my blood tests before taking clomid and after.

Blood Tests BEFORE Clomid 1/24/2010

Testosterone 312 (Range: 250-1100)
LH: 4.0 (1.5-9.3)
FSH: 1.9 (1.6-8.0)
E2: 18 (Range: <29)
SHBG: 21 (range: 7-49)

Blood Tests while on Clomid 3/16/2010(12.5 mg per day for 6 weeks so far, no other meds being used)

Testosterone 680 (Range 250-1100)
Free Testosterone: 153 (Range 46-224)
Testosterone, Bioavailable 301 (Range 110-575)
Estradial(E2): 26 (Range <29) only says this on the sheet
LH: 5.8 (Range: 1.5-9.3)
FSH: 4.7 (Range: 1.6-8.0)
SHBG 19 (Range:7-49)

I still have E.D., orgasms are more pleasurible though. Giving this treatment more time…

E2 is looks to be a bit on the high side (the reference range is <29, and mine is 26).

Doctor added 10mg hydrocortisone daily(for my low cortisol) and 1/4 tablet of arimidex(every other day) which i started taking this week.

I’ll let you guys know how I feel. as time progresses.

I feel like I have more energy and less tired which is good…

God I want this nightmare to end so bad…

Was cortisol done in the morning?? What is your cortisol? If low, then yes, it seems that hydrocortisone alleviates symptoms of adrenal fatigue.

Glad you are feeling better. I remember feeling better on Clomid. However, Clomid also elevated my E2 too much. It should be in lower third of normal.

What is your Adiol G?
Where are you going with your treatment?
The problem with Crisler is that he loves his ‘perfect TRT regimen’ but doesn’t do DHT replacement.

Glad you are feeling better.

annon, has your ed improved at all with this treatment, and how bad is your ed?I mean do you have good days and bad days or is it always bad?

Can somebody awnser me why one would take Arimidex when allrdy on Clomid?

Raising T by blocking E2 at receptors and then lowerering E2 thats allrdy blocked… why?

because as your T rises so does your estrogen, clomid is only a mild estrogen inhibitor.

Androstanediol came out at 152 Range (48-578) on the 24 hour urine analysis.

As for blood tests, Quest labs put a Pending on my 3-Adiol G. I don’t know why they would not test for it when clearly it was requested. Anyways the Androstanediol that I listed above is another market for DHT activity if I’m not mistaken. By looking at that #, it looks a bit low…

Cortisone came out at 91 on a Range(92-366) and Cortisol was 49 Range(35-168) on the 24 hour urine analysis. The 24 hour urine analysis was before clomid treatment FYI.
I haven’t gotten done again…probably would make sense in a few months…

Immediately after taking hydrocortisone i felt like i had more energy, more energy to work out as well…It’s a good feeling…

I still have ED problems…I think it’s getting a little better but erections are no where close to 100%…Something is still wrong, I’m hoping with TIME and treatment I will get better with this protocol…Maybe my body has to get use to the higher testosterone, maybe the adrenals have to heal, and then everything else will fall into place… We shall see!

If the inhibit function is only mild and more estrogen was getting to the receptor than before clomid than wouldent the T go down again… since blocking E is the only reason T went up in the first place?

troubledfinuser,
Clomid is an estrogen, albeit a weak one. It doesn’t reduce circulating estrogen like and AI, it simply ‘blinds’ the hypothalmus to the presence of the real stuff by occupying the receptors without stimulating them so it ‘thinks’ there is an estrogen deficit.
Clomid will make your T rise and some of this excess will be converted by aromatase into E.This is why you take arimidex later in the treatment

Because if you inhibit T -> E conversion, then you end up with an even higher T than that induced by Clomid

Did the doctor tell you how long you will have to be on Cortisone for , I have super low cortisol levels too but everyone I talk to tells me I have to stay away from it. Plus is it an injection or pills or cream for the cortisone…

Thanks

Okay that would make sense if T is still not high enough. I wouldent take another drug unless i really needed it. Make sure you do.

Another thing to note…both of those tests were taken around 3:30 PM-4PM(Late afternoon).

That is quite a bit of Armidex, assuming you are snapping apart 1 mg tablets. Your estradiol did not look high to me. 18-25 is ideal (18 is minimum needed to prevent osteoperosis). Armidex is contraindicaed for anything under 35 IMHO. Consider backing the dose off to 0.25 mg twice a week (stuff has a long half life).

My two cents - kazman

UPDATE:

05/04/2010(My primary doctor did these tests)

Thyroid Blood Tests

TSH 2.57 Range: ( .27-3.0)

Total T3 .90 Range: (.80-2.0)

Free T4 1.3 Range(.90-1.7)

Any comments on this? I’m on 10 mg hydrocortisone per day for last 1.5 month.

your tsh > 2 is signalling you are hypothyroid

you could go up to 20 mg cortisol

total t3 is of course low and probably due to all the stress of this you have high reverse t3, which you need to check

buy a thermometer and start measuring your temperatures i bet you they are low always

ft4 is reasonable

My temperature is always low(in the 97 degree range) everytime i go to the doctor…

My total T3 does low on the low side, are there any other medications that need to be given to treat this besides hydrocortisone?

I have a feeling Propecia gave me and others fibromyaligia…These are all symptons of fibromyaligia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrone…Sickening…

yeah you can try thyroid meds, armour or some other brand
these will up your t4 and t3 levels

probably you’re low in iodine as well, a building block for thyroid hormones

if you want an OTC product i would recommend either of these 3 products:

  • Thyro complex (2 tabs in the morning 1 afternoon) by progressive laboratories
  • Raw Thyroid by natural sources (start with one in the morning)
  • GTA Forte by Biotics Research (indicated if TSH >2 <10)

These contain pure t3 and no t4, plus iodine. GTA Forte has no iodine.
Take three of Thyro Complex and report back to us (10 bucks a bottle) and measure your temps i am sure they will come up.

Could you field test this for us? I am certain it will help. Raw Thyroid WILL give you energy, but try Thyro complex first.

Thanks…I’m going to ask my doctor what his recommendation is as well…

Thanks Again.

New Labs

You must be dealing with a good doctor if he is helping you out with all the tests and prescriptions, are you based in the US? how much are things costing? is clomid on prescription?
