Well that is what happened to me. A recovery for a few days and then back to PFS.
Perhaps the dosage is too high?
i said above berries were not good… i have a sneaking suspicious nuts/seeds are also not good… try sticking with fish as your main protein source… those two things could very well be causing more bad effects…
Bryce - thanks I will try to get more fish into my diet. I understand why we would want to stay away from very sugary fruits but berries are low glycemic and are part of alkaline and paleo diets. So are most nuts - not peanuts but other seeds and nuts. I am trying to figure out why they affect you and maybe me negatively? For me it is not just testicle pain but actual shrinkage which I have to think is more hormonal??
Anyway - skipped yesterday - moving into EOD for the arimidex.
Vincent - what was your estrogen level before starting. And I believe you were on TRT - so what was your level before starting that. For me my E level was off the charts without any T supplementation. I believe the temporary boost we both felt on the first few days is not estrogen lowering as from I have been able to read will take 4-6 weeks. It is just an initial stoppage of T coversion to E so your body suddenly has more T and free T than it has had in quite some time. So then slowly your body will adjust and try to balance.
So if your body stops this conversion to E - you still have to rid yourself of all the excess Estrogen. Which then goes back to perhaps a fucked up liver…
Never been on TRT really only a trial to fix this.
My first estrogen test from 4 years ago it was the bottom of the scale.67 (55-165)
About 1 year ago it was 96pmol/l (<160)
when I was on T cream (1gram/100mg) (77 <160)
When I was on 300HCG EOD 2Grams t cream +.05mg arimidex EOD Oestradiol (132 < 160)
Did not have libido at any of these readings.
I am not sure what happened. I wish i could get back there tho… I was pretty much recovered.
???
Ohh sorrry. I recovered on arimidex .05mg eod for a few days. You can read my post from when I was recovered. I wrote it at the time :
Very interesting - while your levels did rise through your treatments (which would have upped T) you never really went out of range for males. In my case I am always at or above the upper limit for males with no testosterone manipulation at all.
And in my case, beyond the high E levels I have truly sky high SHBG. Well beyond the range for a male. Lucky me.
so libido waned. Head is crazy itchy all the time. not much else to report right now
yeah dude i dont get it at all.
something i’m looking into right now is some degree of insulin resistance. other possibilities could be auto immune reactions or there’s some bad balance in our body… like how propecia screwed our body and there’s too much of one thing compared to another, thus it’s causing sensitive reactions. i want to get a full nutritional profile done at some point… if only i could afford it… i hate propecia for doing this to us.
I’ll also say this. PFS is not one size fits all. There are so many huge differences between members on this site - from low T to high E to normal hormones but other issues.
I’ve corresponded with some that by eating lots of fruits - especially berries including acai had great results - this would seem to be the opposite than the above. I’m not ready to throw out berries but I will try to experiement.
More than anything I have done a good job of eating healthy the past month - I have ramped up exercise without the prior heart issues. The first six months after fin I concentrated on exercise and healthy eating and ended up with a serious low heart rate (37 BPM). This time I seem fairly stable in that regard. I don’t often feel like exercising but I am making myself do it - now averaging 10-14 miles a week jogging. Once I strat to lose some of the excess belly weight I may branch into weights. Never have really done that so if anyone has advice on what has helped most I am all ears.
BTW - on the EOD for arimidex I definitely see/fell the difference on the off days. This is strange as it should have a 48-72 hour half life. If I cut quater the pills I would try 0.25 every day but damn these are tiny!
that’s crazy man. that is some serious exercise. you should try this, biotta beet juice 1x per day for 2 weeks and see if it helps you.
who had good results from berries?
Bryce -what is the beet juice for -what does it do??
If your low heart rate was 37 BPM, what’s your max?
Martin - the heartrate issue was post fin - during the first six months. After visiting this site and quitting I decided the best course of action was to get back in shape and eat healthy and rotate some T boosting supps.
My normal heart rate is 50-55 at rest - has been all my life. During the above period I got to the point where I could not jog without severe tiredness - almost feeling like I would pass out. Went to numerous doctors including cardiologists as my resting heartrate had dropped to around 37 BPM - this range is considered bradicardia which is a seriously low heartrate. Only really measures to improve are to install a pace-maker.
I had to stop exercise back then (around 1.5 years ago). Since then this issue resolved itself. Right now I am back to an exercise protocal and even with ramping up jogging I am not experiencing this again.
Scary stuff - all I can say is if this was from fin it is pretty radical that it could have this effect
Agreed, but I was more curious if you ever tested the higher function of your heart in addition to the resting rate?
beet juice releases nitric oxide in the body. it also stimulates bile flow. i’m not sure which one is helping, but i’m pretty sure it’s the nitric oxide. beet juice is like my goto thing to have. biotta is sold at whole foods, but it’s kinda expensive. i’m sure regular beets would do the same, but you’d need a juicer and regular beets are a lot more intense. biotta is fermented so it’s pretty easy to handle.
Guys - Go Giants in the Super Bowl tonight!!!
Still on a high - great game last night.
At the end of week #2 - this week I had dropped to EOD for Arimidex. Not noticing any of the initial libido effects…
Can you explain to me where you think your estrogen is coming from?
I do not think taking arimidex is a good idea, I am going to try low dose test only and shut off my testicles as they are a source of estrogen
