You're all a bunch of idiots for thinking this is permanent

I have a STRONG inkling that >90% of you have a hormone IMBALANCE that simply needs correcting. Propecia is an ANTI-ANDROGEN. Think about that for a second. The potential for endocrine disruption is massive. Taking Propecia and then trying herbal remedies is like taking steroids, coming off cold turkey then taking fucking Tribilus for post-cycle therapy. It’s asinine and what I see here time and time again from members. “Oh, I’ll just take Tribilus, eat healthy and I’ll hopefully be recovered in a year’s time.” That’s not going to work.

What you need to do is to get a full hormone panel. Try running a SERM like Toremifene. AI’s if your estrogen is high. Thyroid hormone is your hypothyroid. Cortisol if you test positive for adrenal insufficiency. I am a strong believer that the vast majority of so called “post-finasteride sufferers” have a simply hormone imbalance that when corrected will render the patient 100% recovered.

Now for the ~10% who are non-responders to testosterone, thryoid, etc. therapy, now you guys are the ones who are truly fucked. You most likely have a defunction at the receptor level. Similar to androgen insensitivity syndrome. Propecia may have the capability to induce this. Now if you fall into this category I URGE you to go see an endocrinologist, have a skin fibroblast sample taken and have it tested for responsiveness to various androgens(T, DHT, etc. ). I have not seen one guy do this and post their results. Why? I have no idea.

What’s your background for having so much confidence?

Dudebro, your “Reason” in your profile says, “Suffering permanent sexual dysfunction that is resistant to hormone treatment.”

So, I guess you are one of the 10%?

Also, what happened regarding your “going back on Fin” experiment?

Anything that doesn’t heal or correct itself in a week or so is probably damage. If taking these things makes you feel better, that’s great. However you were still damaged. Your body should be regulating this on it’s own. Idiot!

Cool story bro.

Tried that, didn’t help.

It isn’t. But regardless, tried them didn’t help.

Tried T3, didn’t help.

Tried Hydrocortisone, didn’t help.

Believe what you want but the defining factor of PFS is that it’s resistant to hormonal treatment.

I don’t doubt that there are men on here with simply low testosterone following use of propecia which can be treated. But that isn’t PFS, if it was this forum would not have existed for so many years. HRT would be the first treatment anyone with sexual dysfunction would try, so it’s ‘idiotic’ to suggest it’s not been fully explored by those of us who have suffered for years.

I have been on and am on every kind of hormone imaginable, the problem with people who have PFS is that in my opinion they have a compromised production and regulation of 5AR enzymes. We respond to lower doses of hormones rather than higher which disproves the androgen sensitivity theory, if receptors were desensitized we would respond to massive levels and not to tiny levels. There just isn’t enough 5AR to reduce to test to DHT.
Every Endo I have been to told me I knew more than they did, you are a moron, hormones can help manage this situation, but it isn’t easy, I have the situation under control with hormones, but not normal HRT. AI’s are USELESS, they have too many side effects and killing estrogen causes PFS like symptoms, you need to regulate estrogen with DHT.
You are an idiot.

There is a part of this website which talks about the studies that are taking place at two major US medical institutions - Harvard & Baylor, where they are exploring PFS in fine detail. I don’t know why you think you can speak so confidently about what is causing this problem. Come back later in the year and see if the study results are published.

so what is the result of your fibroblast study? did you find anything yet? where you doing this study and how much does it cost?

He forgot to mention how these tests are only currently done in research labs. He thinks doctors can do these tests. LOL. Shows how much he knows about what he’s talking about.

Also I like his “those ten percent of you that do not respond to testosterone”

LOL. U mean the 90 percent of us that don’t and 10 percent that do.

Please get at least half of your facts straight before making a post like that again
