Hey buddy,
I ve been off Finasteride for almost 8 years now. I ve had two periods of full, complety recovery, from October 2010 to March 2011 (then crashed) and from January 2012 to November 2012 (then crashed again).
I have tried a lot of stuff, from diet changes, to natural supplements, to a few prescription drugs (tranquilizers and prednisone short term).
I want to give you an advice. If your only problem is Anhedonia, and besides that you have a normal life, and feel just like your old self… PLEASE, please, don’t worry too much. WAIT more… Give it much more time to heal. Live a healthy lifestyle, improve your diet, do regular exercise, focus on work and social activities, but don’t go on a quest to solve this issue (if that is the only issue you have and other than that you feel normal).
I ll tell you, the more prescription drugs you use, the worse you will get (and if you go to the doctor, he will want you to take something)
Regarding having a better orgasm, you need to try boosting Dopamine. Eat more chocolate, cheese (they boost dopamine) and do exercise. THese foods are rich in L-tyrosine (precursor to dopamine): chicken, turkey, fish, peanuts, almonds, avocados, milk, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, lima beans, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, bananas. You can also try a supplement of L-tyrosine (In my case the best result i got was from food - almonds, chocolate and cheese).
Take more time to ejaculate (once a week for example) for some time. Meanwhile you will be ‘restocking’ your dopamine reserves.
I am pretty sure weak orgasm is due to low dopamine in men withh PFS.
If you are determined to take a prescription drug to try to resolve this issue, go for Welbutrin (it is a dopamine booster antidepressant). But i would leave that as a last resource, really. I am sure the food, supplement, and exercise venue can give you great results.
Best of luck!
