Working towards recovery

So I wanted to post my potential recovery, on the chance that others may be able to benefit.

First off my backround;

Used Propecia for approximately 1 year. (.25mg EOD)
Didn’t notice any effects at first, eventually the sides slowly crept up on me. These included erectile difficulties, watery semen, lack of morning wood, no dreams, extra fat, difficulty staying asleep, low body temp, and lethargy. At that point I quit Propecia.

Approximately a year off the drug I was still having sides. Not to the same degree though. Erectile function improved maybe 50%. Began having dreams again almost immediately after stopping. Sleep improved, about 50%. Semen was still watery, was still holding some extra fat(unusual for me), still overly tired.

What helped me recover?

1. Nutrition/diet: Eat! Increased my calories substantially (was seemingly eating at a deficit). Eat a lot of protein and fat: Eggs every day, a lot of meat (including red meat), and olive oil. And I eat a lot of good carbs: Spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, sweet potatoes.
Supplements: Vit C (4mg/day), multi-vit, D3(5000/EOD), Iodine(50mg/ED for a month), ZMA

Results:
Improved Energy almost immediately
Body temp back to normal. I attribute it to the iodine, as I was seemingly getting none beforehand, and it is essential.
Sleeping/dreaming: ZMA improved my dreaming and sleep, though not 100%.

2. GYM: Lift, and lift heavy. I’ve been doing 5x5 twice a week and cardio once a week. 5x5 if you are not familar is 5 sets of 5, of the most important compound lifts. The 1st 5x5 day I do bench press, squats, romanian deadlift, bent over row, and 10 mins cardio. The other 5x5 day I do squats, deadlifts, chinups, military press, and 10 mins cardio. On cardio day I do 30 mins of running.

Results:
Jacked after about a month.
Energy improved almost immediately.
The stubborn bloat is gone.
Mood is improved.
Increase in morning wood, semi or 50% erection, maybe 3 or 4 days a week.

3. Quit caffeine and alcohol. Went from 10 beers a weekend to 5 a month. Went from to coffees a day to one decaf.

Results: Improved energy

4. Ran a PCT.I ran Clomid, Torem, and AI. Clomid:(low dose) 12.5/12.5/12.5/12.5 Torem: 90/60/60/60
Initial saw a massive libido increase (and massive load) on Clomid, like day 1 and 2. Then a drop back to baseline. The Torem seemed to increase my testicle size substantially. But then again after a month of this my symptoms were still there. (Semen had thickened slightly). Finally ran some labs to see where I stood, approx a month later.

Test: 976 (300-1200) GREAT
LH 4.8 (2-9) NORMAL
FSH 1.9 (1.5-12.5) VERY LOW - NORMAL
E: 30.3 (8-45) NORMAL (ideal 20-25)

Also my DHT was high-normal, and my TSH was 3.1 (high normal (bad))

So overall the results were good, though I still had the symptoms. The FSH was concerning. That would explain the watery semen and weak ejaculation. The TSH was a bit concerning as well. That would explain my low body temp.

So the PCT did not have quite the result I wanted.


5. Currently running an improved PCT.
Now this is where things have finally gotten interesting. I am not done with this yet. Here is the layout:

HCG: 15000 iu. (1000iu E3D)
HMG: 450 iu (150iu last 3 days before SERMS)
Nolva: 20mg with every HCG pin
Arimidex .25 EOD

Once the HCG/HMG is complete I will run this:
Clomid 25/25/25/25 or maybe 50/50/50/25
Nolva 40/40/40/20/20
And either Exemestane low dose or Letrozole low dose

Results thus far:
Morning Wood: Almost immediately started having morning wood, EOD. I don’t wake up with it everyday, depending on my sleep schedule, but it is there in the middle of the night.
Erections: Think about a hot ass, my dick moves. This had not been the norm.
Libido: Don’t want sex, I need it. Back watching porn semi regularly and enjoying it.
Semen: Loads are massive, talking drown your girl. Thicker than before.
Body: Ripped.
Balls: Halfway to my knees.

Needless to say I’m extremely happy so far. I’m 8000iu of HCG into the protocol. I’ve also done 150 iu of HMG. Hopefully the SERMs are able to help me maintain this level of function when I come off.

I really don’t think any fucking protocol works with PFS

You could be the most fittest of people with a great diet and still not improve, or you could have the worst diet and unhealthy life style and see good improvements.

Before I made any lifestyle changes my general feeling was well shit.

Since, most things have vastly improved.

Trial and error, see what works.

Dangerous1, first of all thanks so much for reporting in. I see you are an observant guy which is good for appraising your symptons and what affects which.

I know this is asking a lot but would it be possible for you to report in here after many months on your status and what you are doing? I might be talking like 1-4 updates a year. The reason for this is that we while something like TRT (or even diet changes) has benefitted greatly for some people, it is important that the gains remain for months afterwards. It is also good for backtracking your symptons and causality (how did something you did affect your symptons in long run) in retrospect.

Update:

I have finished using the HCG @ 1000iu E3D (10000iu total). The HCG really did improve symptoms quite a bit. Definitely higher libido, some spontaneous erections, morning wood, balls were massive, etc. Also by about the 8th or 9th shot my semen loads had increased to almost a comical level.

I’ve started now on Clomid(100/50/50/50 or something similar) and Nolva (20/20/20/20) and will see how I’m feeling at the end of that. I know people generally feel shitty while on them, but so far no sides really for me, maybe a seeing a couple floaters.

Any updates?

I have been excellent results just doing weight lifting similar to what you mentioned. Body is starting to look great, so confidence is up. I have yet to change my diet or cut out alcohol (which I still hope to do before too long), but just the weights alone can really make a difference, if you just force yourself into the habit.

Same here, many victims are unable or unwilling to try weight lifting…

It’s pretty absurd to expect to get better without working out heavily. To me that seems like an absolute baseline measure to work from.

Dangerous, how did you get access to all these? Were they prescribed to you or did you get them online somehow?

How did you get the deprenyl? Was it prescribed to you?

Recovery seems like a pot of luck to me when you think there are some people who’ve only taken it for days and ultimately suffer long term/permanent consequences. Whereas others, may have taken it for months and or years and end up better off. I believe certain protocols help to a degree, but they are by no means a cure. That seems to be something of a miracle for a number of people.
