Winter makes me feel worse

Now that it has been cold I feel worse. Could be a lack of sleep too as I quit sleeping pills. Hard to judge. But im weaker and more frail at this time than I was over summer.

It makes sense to me. I’ve been to Bulgaria twice over the last couple of years, and I felt a lot better when I was down there - probably because of the sun.

Same here. Feel better in summer and felt a lot better the year I lived in Australia.

Same here almost recovered this summer, took a step back when winter hit. Makes know since.

Interesting, think about it, seasonal changes, seasonal depression, extra drop in dopamine and serotonin. Here is something else to ponder…many of the people who claim near recovery or recovery, were extremely positive from the beginning, feel good, boost dopamine levels. I have to admit, I am staying positive and trying to push forward and I have mad great gains from a year ago.

i’m living in def. a cold area of the country and i have felt worse more recently. i think you guys may be on to something. is anyone with PFS actually live in a warm, tropical climate near the beach? this could be the whole vitamin D issue. i’m officially dedicating myself to moving to florida or texas within the next 6 months. fuck this disease, i will beat it, and do everything i have to.

People on thyroid medication may have to increase their dose during the winter, so there are more factors involved here than just vitamin D.

Yea I live in louisiana and I felt pretty well over the summer. This winter has been one of the worst times of my oife except the first winter after my crash.

There have been threads touching on this before. I definitely feel better in the summer though not remotely recovered. Aside from the fact that it is darker and greyer in the winter months and therefore you are less likely to be feeling good anyway, and maybe less likely to exercise and eat less, the lack of sunshine does seem to have a negative impact.

The best I’ve felt has been in the summer months. I recovered my sleep a couple of years ago on a hot holiday, and last year I even had a crash a few days after getting enough sun to tan well. After a few days I suffered from hot flashes and severe joint pain the like of which I hadn’t had since initially crashing, similar to the way some guys get worse after an initial improvement on TRT, suggesting the sun does have some sort of androgenic or hormonal effect. I think spstiken said that he had been on holiday in India and the sun had put muscle on him and increased genitals only to go back afterwards. If anyone else has noticed a positive or negative effect chime in.

It’s been a very grey and wet winter in Europe with very little sunshine, and my brain fog is worse as are my sexual sides. I’ve also had trouble getting my sleep back after some late nights over the festive period. Some of this may have been due to slightly excess masturbation at times but who knows.

I fucking hate winter now. Would sunbeds work for vitamin D?

the only few times i have felt truly horny over the last six years is on the plane flights back from very sunny holidays, could be the sun,i thought it was something to do with the altitude, also ive heard of people who suffer from depression etc changing all the light bulbs in their houses in the dark months to warm white or cool white i cant remember which…
