I’m not sure on the cost of running TV ads but thats probably a part of it. We are not organized to the point of having a centralized donation system to generate the capital necessary for such a campaign at the moment. We could be but some more leadership needs to arise to start the ball rolling alittle faster on that end.

I would be glad to take on a more “leaderly” role. I do not necessarily crave leadership but we do need to put up as much of an effort as we can.

I don’t know very much about running television ads however, and I would like some more direct contact with the leadership on this site before going off and beginning such an activity.

I agree we should centralize our efforts. I’m hoping to make it happen within the next couple of months. But I’m headed to Whitehouse Station, NJ with or without you guys. Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m in it to the death.

My plan is to:

Only focus on my demand: Get Merck to fund research into PFS
Avoid the traps many protesters fall into: Don’t say “big pharma is evil” “Vioxx killed 50,000 people”

It’s free to post youtube videos. And there are millions or more users.

Post some video comercials on there saying “suffering persistent side effects from finasteride? come to this website to get information.”

Slap a sexy lady on the video thumbnail, and watch your video get 40 million hits from men everywhere.

Misleading. People don’t want to be “rick-rolled” and the last thing this site needs is an influx of jokers who came here from some Youtube video that makes our condition out to be for entertainment and amusement.

It would be better to have an image of Propecia or a balding man concerned about his hair as the thumbnail, that gets the point across immediately about what the video content is about.

I saw the Propecia Lawsuit ad last week for the first time. Now it seems it’s on constantly on the ID Channel. Funny though the only side effect they mention in the ad was sexual sides. I wonder what it will take for this horrible drug to be linked to the real devestation it causes to the Entire endocrine system of a man.

I also find it aggrevating that many of the few people who do know about PFS think it amounts to nothing more than some ED.
