Why not implant?

I don’t understand why more people don’t get implants? say the only problem you’re experiencing is ED (still good sensitivity, etc) but don’t respond to cialis / viagra, wouldn’t this just solve the problem?

I know others on this forum have tried it but there’s been so little discussion of it. What am I missing?

On Franktalk there are few PFS guys with an implant

1.costs 2. An implant lasts only around 20 years, so if you are too young you will need another.
3. Complication, it could be that your body doesn’t accept this implant and then you have no going back anymore. 4. psychological reasons it will be a total different feeling using a pump

Hi @veryannoyed,

Patients are not routinely experiencing only ED as a problem, and for those I suppose it’s up to them individually. It is after all a significant procedure. However, many here are unfortunately more seriously and multi-systemically affected. As well as symptomatic worsening following orgasm, I personally have severe atrophy and constant pain, so an implant is not relevant.

Are you a patient with ED following use of Finasteride? Could you please post a member story in the member stories category? Thank you

Axo

Doesn’t do anything about the low libido problem. Personally, blood flow is fine and I can “mechanically” get an erection. The problem is the lack of desire.

Remember - if you are thinking of an implant - there is risk of rejection or infection. If this happens, you will need to go back under the knife before your junk rots off entirely. Once the implant is removed, you are left with no erectile function at all. Finito.

Implant is shit in our case IMO. Sex is not just about an erected penis entering holes. Sometimes I can have hard erection and penetrate, but there are many other things these horrible syndromes took from us, like being horny (physically and psychologically), sensitivity - in your genitals, nipples… feeling orgasms and feeling sex in general. For most of us ED is just one of the many sexual probelms.

Ok but say you have good sensitivity, good orgasms, and few if any mental sides. Wouldn’t the implant solve everything?

what about stents for erectile dysfunction?
