Here is the guy who claims he has 100% recovered and who made the web site on the subject! I am very inclined to ‘believe’ in his explanation, although it may not be 100% true. And I don’t see any reason to question his recovery… Anyway, this might be very instructive for us all, so it definitely deserves attention.
Also, there is that guy who claimed recovery by removing c*ndida, who has been ridiculed by many here. Perhaps he wasn’t right, but he wasn’t talking nonsense.
Because he’s selling a book and understands that our demographic is susceptible to being sold a cure.
Erectile dysfunction is a sensitive issue for men, so telling people how to cure it is valuable.
He’s discovered that Post-Finasteride Syndrome is associated with erectile dysfunction, and that writing articles on the subject will attract buyers.
Why is this being ignored?:
Because its nonsense.
Well, everything related to pfs is written in this 5 texts I posted link to, without any link to the book (I didn’t even notice it) so I don’t think that’s motivation behind his web site.
How is one supposed to answer to this kind of ‘objection’ … Probably ignoring them is the best way… But anyway, I’ll just say that he is definitely not the only one claiming leaky gut can cause a huge variety of health issues, ranging from directly gut related, like constipation or diarrhea, to depression, anxiety, autoimmune diseases, autism and god knows what else. After all, 70% of immune system is located in the gut. Actually, the fact that many (if not most of us) here have experienced or are experiencing sings of chronic inflammation (brain fog itself is symptom of inflammation, not to mention all the other symptoms mentioned on this forum), alone, is probably enough to, at least, raise some kind of suspicion.
I mean, what you are saying is pure speculation, and doesn’t need to be answered to… I just made an exception.
Yes - gut bacteria is important and has a whole range of functions. This is why it’s attributed as the root cause of almost every illness that does not yet have a cure. Same with ‘Adrenal Fatigue’. Same with ‘Thyroid Imbalances’.
Shills use these catch all phrases to convince vulnerable people that they understand what is causing them suffering, and can then subsequently sell information or products to ease them from this suffering.
Because there is no objective test to conclusively prove dysfunction in these areas, all a shill has to do is link vague symptoms and put doubt in your mind.
Notice at no point does he explain why inhibiting 5-AR would disrupt gut bacteria. Or any tests indicating PFS sufferers have abnormal gut bacteria. Simply leaky gut -> imbalance hormones -> PFS is hormonal -> leaky gut must be the source. Utter nonsense and speculation.
When people are desperate they will pay anything to get better. I spent thousands on ridiculous herbs and supplements, convinced the next one is the real solution. Unfortunately some have cottoned on that there’s big money to be made from this, hence why there are claims that crystals will heal autism, or that colour vibrations can cure cancer.
It is nonsense plain and simple.
Ignore it all you want but my credibility is higher among PFS victims than all but a few. Its not worth my time to get back into why these “theories” (not that they deserve to be called that even) are the scientific equivalent of Swiss cheese.
The only reason I get involved in asinine threads like this from time to time is because they seem to attract a plethora of the young, naive or misinformed. And I would prefer they didn’t waste their time and money on such things.
PS: Going on strict clean, and gluten free diets will usually make you feel better no matter what your health level is. But do not expect if you have a bad case of PFS for your penis to start working full force again from following a paleo diet, or “cleansing” yourself of fungi. If any of us had severe candida infections we’d end up in a hospital pretty fast, not on a forum pondering dieting schemes.
I have done keto diets and veggy diets in the past, mostly to lose excess bodyfat… I saw zero improvement in overall PFS sexual sides but my energy level improved.
There is a reason Can-di-da is censored on this forum, its because its freakin nonsense.
Now that you’ve somewhat elaborated your positions I can only agree with your skepticism… but you yourself are claiming that gut bacteria is important. The fact that there are shills taking advantage of it, and claiming it to be the cause of every illness in the world doesn’t change that… And leveling gut bacteria with some crystals and color vibrations is like, completely unjustified, to say the least.
He says that we had disrupted gut bacteria before finasteride, which is true in my case. I had pain (from time to time severe) in abdominal area before finasteride, and even did test for some bacteria to see whether that is the cause. I think it was helicobacter pylori, which came back negative. So, after that test I was prescribed proton pump inhibitor which was able to ease the pain. But that certainly didn’t heal leaky gut or balanced out bacteria.
Leaky gut and disrupted gut bacteria cause immune system to go out of whack. It has to attack foreign particles which are entering the blood, and because of lack of treg cells it can’t distinguish what is foreign and what isn’t… And after stopping finasteride 5ar is starting to come back to normal, but body cannot recognize it, attacks it and there you have pfs… It would also explain why many others don’t get pfs after stopping finasteride. But i guess this is way to simple for you both… Pfs just has to be ‘explained’ with some mind bending, quantum mechanistic theory noone would understand, or else it is worthless and plain nonsense.
Well, you can repeat that over and over, but your statement is completely lacking any (scientific) explanation. Like I said, the facts that leaky gut causes autoimmune disorders, that many here experienced inflammation symptoms, that symptoms in general of most of us are exactly the same like on the finasteride (like the body is rejecting 5ar)- actually Italian study confirmed that pfs patients have low 5ar metabolites etc, just to mention some of the things, is def. not in your favor.
It just came to my mind, this thread has little to do with it nor am I claiming we have c*ndida… But my point is that it is not just plain nonsense. There’s reason why he didn’t claim mosquito bite caused his pfs.
The type of “metabolism” the researchers are talking about is not gut related. Its the ability of the body to use hormones… Nothing to do with your gut, trust me.
I love the leaky gut theory. Not because I believe it but because I crashed April 2014. Two months prior, my chest hurt so my doctor gave me PPI to lower stomach acid. Then, I got food poisoning in April and two days later, another Merck statistic. Just another anecdote that supports the auto-immune theory. Really I prefer the metabolic disorder theory first, CNS driven issues second, but who knows what activating the immune system to attack foreign invaders did to our fin compromised bodies. Auto immunity surely can’t be ruled out either.
