why doctors don't pay attention to us.

why no doctors understand our problem and not pay attention ? too much obsession with dick. If this website had talked about muscle loss, weight loss, depression ,insomnia, internal bleeding etc many drs would have looked at us. The moment they hear about dick they turn away. I wrote to hospitals. sent many emails got response to only one and very rude. No body wants to talk about dick. They don’t understand our condition. they say what is the deal if you don’t get erection. low libido is common thing these days etc ect. go get a viagra and shut up.

This is simple, if you cant give something/someone a diagnosis and offer a treatment, this is only a waste of time for a MD. This all about the money you need to give a Disease a code. than you get more money. Thats why its so important that PFS is a “real” Disease.

Because thoughout history there have been diseases, diseases that were unknown and “mysterious” a hundred years ago are now well understood and recognized. Unfortunately for us, this is something totally unique and unheard of, its not something apparently and extremely visible either. Doctor’s just don’t care that much, most of them became doctors to make money, not to make ground-breaking discoveries. (there are exceptions of course)

I don’t believe this issue is that complex that if a 100 or so of us were put into a major analytical study with several highly trained medical/scientific professionals, examining every aspect of our condition, starting from the empirical to the molecules of our cells… they would probably be able to pin down the cause of this whole thing in a few months or even weeks.

Unfortunately, the condition is rare, the public doesn’t see this as a major problem (they think its just our penis’s), and many, many people are completely and utterly terrified about speaking out about what Propecia has done to them.

Fortunately a few of us, who have been terribly stricken by this disease don’t really care all that much (and realize we are not that important in the grand scheme of things that anybody is really paying attention) about our reputations “sexually” and realize it is far, far more important to get this shit out there in the public’s eye, ramming it down Merck’s throat as much as possible.

Or else we ALL will be stuck like this INDEFINITELY!!!

Yes Spstriken!! You are 100% correct, it is still being sensationalized as “erectile dysfunction” The sad fact is (and I plan on seeing as many enocronolgist as I can see) doctors need to know everything involved in this matter. If they do it might at least trigger some educated thoughts. For instance, If i saw a endo and showed him by bright red face, flushing all over my body including penis, dry skin, no mucus in my nostril or ear wax, off and on shedding of hair, bloating, thin lower legs and lower arms (which I actually think is collageen inhibition) my ice cold hands and feet in 70 temp, my acid reflux, my bleeding gums, my fluctuating non-allergic siniusits, and my fluctuating Eustachian Tube Dysfunction…I really think this problem would get solved a lot faster or at least shape the research better.

about the ear wax. I noticed that to. Low progesterone/Liver problem i’d say. Info on it’s production below.

“Earwax, also known by the medical term
cerumen, is a yellowish, waxy substance secreted in the
ear canal of humans and many other mammals. Earwax [1]
is composed of more than 40 different substances including
not only wax and oil but also dead skin cells. In fact, the
primary component of earwax is keratin, an extremely
fibrous protein substance found in the outermost layer of
the skin. Cerumen is produced in the outer third of the
cartilaginous portion of the human ear canal. It also
consists of mixture of viscous secretions from sebaceous
glands and less-viscous ones from modified ceruminous
glands. The main components of earwax are the final
products in the HMG-CoA reductase pathway, namely,
squalene, lanosterol, and cholesterol. The percentage of
these compounds varies within a short range and hence our
analysis will be based on these compounds.”

Not sure how it’s releated though.

I still think the Liver and hormone play a big role in all of this. As far as oil/sebum production.

  1. MD’s apply medically acknowledged treatments to medically acknowledged diseases/illnesses - PFS isn’t really medically acknowledged, a few studies researchers is nothing in the scheme of things, to compound things are are no medically acknowledged treatments.

  2. Makes MD’s look stupid and feel uncomfortable - Think about it, many of them have been prescribing Proscar / Propecia for upwards of 20 years…and every week a Super Hot Young recent biology college grad comes visits their office to hobnob, put out a big deli lunch spread for the entire office and ‘shill’ Merek Rx poisons.

  3. Even IF an MD were genuinely interested in helping, do you really think one is going to stop what he’s doing, running his practice, and locate and read dozens of (possibly) relevant journal articles/studies we’ve collected here? Sure, if you wrote him a check for $ 100 k, maybe.
