Why did we get side effects? What's your Theory?

My quick run down…

I’m not here to post posts from wikipedia or NCBI about steroids, SSRI’s, methylation and genetic mutations. I’m not glitter coating it in scientific explanations.

First off. Propecia should not be sold as hairloss drug, it an anti androgen designed for old men with prostate issues, who no longer shag so this isn’t an issue for them.

Propecia is a 5ar2 inhibitor which decreases DHT. It isnt an alien infestation which turns your ass into a hemorrhoid, it doesn’t give you pudenal neuropathy, it does not change your sexual orientation unless ur taking it for that reason, it doesn’t change which side of the bed you sleep on, and no being left or right handed does not change whether you got PFS or not.

PFS! It is an initial reaction to the suppression of DHT. That’s what the drug is designed to do, inhibit the production of our most potent hormone. It’s like you take estrogen away from a women or decrease it shes going to start growing facial hair and get masculine features and side effects look at menopause.
DHT is supressed -----> you suffer sexual side initially due to decrease in our most potent hormone —> you crash because your body is confused and tries to find balance —> hormones drop you get things like brain fog…hmm lets see your brain is a tissue and reacts to hormones —> it’s a vicious cycle, untill balance is restored, alot of us have down regulated systems as seen in low T etc.

I’m not downplaying that this drug causes side effects its given me 5 months of hell. But everything is donwnstream from a reduction or imbalance of hormones. DHT is our main hormone of course it’s going to screw us up if we take something like this, it should defintley not be sold for hairloss treatment.

I dont trust you.

?

I don’t think it’s that simple. There are many men on this forum that took the drug for years with no side effects and yet when they quit, all hell broke loose. They were fine when DHT was being suppressed.

Of course, yeah look what happens once you stop, your body re-adjusts and crashes due to the return of DHT. I really wish people would just address the fact of what finasteride does…
