Why did Glaxo pull dutasteride for hair loss?

Does anyone know the reason for this? Supposedly it was because it was ‘too similar’ to propecia but I reckon they might have had some bad reactions in the trials, plus become aware of the possibility of long term sides arising from the similar finasteride. It was pulled about seven years ago I think.

Because they know the truth and they know whats going on…That drug would of been a bit worse then propecia. Propecia blocks 5 AR II which is 70% of DHT. Dutartisde(however you spell it) blocks 5 AR I(30% DHT) and 5 AR II(70% DHT).

Username Paximpera, the guy that offed himself, he used that drug.

The Phase III study finished in Jan 09, but results have not been published yet. Dont know why… mayb its still early
