Why are there only 133 men on this website?

Does anyone know how many men are using Propecia in the U.S? Why are there only 133 men on this website when there are probably thousands of men using this drug?

Josh

probably more like 500,000 including Proscar, maybe more. That would only be 10,000 people per state

Probably because it is unfortunate to say that people who experience these permanent side effects are in the extreme minority, that is why it is hard for the problem to become acknowledged

I spent nearly 2 years searching on the internet for side effects of propecia that matched mine until I found the old yahoo forum - and then it changes to this one.
There are probably a lot of people out there experiencing problems who haven’t found this forum yet; or who don’t even realise that the problems they are experiencing are related to propecia.

i think this is because of many reasons; first: it will take time till you are aware that what is happening to you is because of propecia. i have been off propecia for 8 months and it was only this month when i discovered that this drug has caused a permanent damage; thanks to this site. i have had medications for adrenal fatigue syndrom. the second reason is that Merck didn’t mention any long term effects that persist after stopping propecia.
they should stop that drug. that drug is a crime against humanity.i’m really really frustrated. i’m just afraid this drug may caused a 5 alpha reductase gene destruction for good.

Btw, i think its for like 4- 5 million people world wide take this stuff. I read in the new Men’s Journal magazine a statement saying over 4 million world wide.

Also, my philosophy is that a lot of people just do not know it yet that they have been damaged, because they have yet to stop, and because the sides just don’t get as bad until after one stops. I think because most people go on this drug knowing they cannot stop otherwise they will lose all the hair that they saved, they do not stop. and have not stopped yet. I would guess there will be hundreds of thousands suffering from post finasteride problems, unfortunately. I’m not usually a synic, but this is my philosophy on the low numbers of people also, and the lack of awareness.

There have got to be more recovery stories. May I make a request?? If some of the guys from the old site can remember any success stories, please go back a copy and paste them into the recoveries section. I have been reading as many as I can, but there are so many posts. I mean, that site has over 1100 members. Thanks.
