You need to get a new doc. Screw him. You shouldn’t be embarrased to ask for something you need from a so called professional. Ignorance like that drives me crazy.
First of all, you’re talking to a Dermatologist, not a physican. Derms prescribe Finasteride, of course they want to downplay the risks associated with the drug.
Second, you’ll need to buck up and get over your fears and embarrasment about asking for help, no matter who you talk to. If you want to obtain Viagra, do so under your physician’s guidance and care.
Self-medicating is dangerous and is what got a lot of people into this mess in the first place.

I recently got a prescription for Viagra from my doctor but insurance would not cover the drug. I am a bit aggravated about paying 20 dollars a pill for a medication that partially works (it does not restore arousal or sensation).
Does anybody have insurance that covers any of the PDE5 Inhibitors or know why the insurance companies refuse to cover viagra which is a medication that treats what I deem to be a legitimate medical condition?
