When does the side effects appear?

Hi All,

I just wanted to know from the guyz who are sufffering from the side effects that after how much time span of taking medicine, the side effects started to appear?

I pray all of you get fine asap

Some guys got sexual side effects within days (like me) and continued on, believing Merck when they said everything would resolve either on the drug or most certainly after quitting.

The mental and physical side effects (fatigue, brain fog, disassociative state, depression, anxiety, moodiness, gynecomastia etc) can creep up slowly over many months, and does so so slowly that most people don’t necessarily attribute these things to the drug. It’s only after quitting do they realize just how far “off” they were from their old selves.

Others don’t get side effects for months, or even years. Everyone is different, the key is to be aware of any changes to your body, sex drive, erection ability, and mental state. Generally, most guys do not have issues with the medication, but for those that do side effects may appear at any time.

Hi Mew,

Thanx for ur reply. In case if a person quits and dont see any side effects for a week or a month, does he shuld be worried that the side effects may appear at any time during his life?
Whats the time span after which a person culd be sure that no side effects wuld appear after quitting the medicine and staying normal?

I think you misunderstood.

For guys that get side effects WHILE ON the medication, they can appear at any time during their usage of the drug. Some guys take it for years without problems, then get hit with side effects… but there also plenty more men who take the medication for years WITHOUT issue. WE are in the minority here.

The 2nd issue is: for those with side effects while on the medication, after quitting the drug, within 2 weeks to 1 month we recover to our old selves (as we’re supposed to), then for whatever reason (hence the THEORIES section of this website) everything goes to hell… often Testosterone levels come crashing down and we are left with complete loss of libido, impotence, penile/scrotal shrinkage and a host of other issues that are far worse compared to when we were on the medication.

So in general – I’d say AFTER quitting, if you don’t have ANY issues for a few months and continue to feel like your old self, then you should likely be in the clear.

If however you find everything gets a lot worse after quitting, then you may be dealing with the same problem many guys on this site are. Read the FAQ at top of site for more info.

still waiting
