I have never taken Finesteride but I am on testosterone and arimidex and consequently have DHT 1.5x the upper limit which is causing me to lose hair. I am currently using minoxidil 5% and a laser comb but after seeing my blood results I’m not sure will be enough, so I wanted to know if it is safe to take avodart(Dutasteride)?

Read the forum. I think you’ll find that saving hair is the last thing ppl are talking about.
Why are you on TRT and Arimidex? Do you have Hypogonadism? If so, go to they Hypogonadism2 board on Yahoo Groups…several on there that talk about TRT regimans and such…and some may have suggestions for your hair loss.

The form of testosterone replacement can be key as there are quite dramatic differences in the T/E2/DHT ratio differences found in differing forms of TRT.
So what form of TRT are you on?
If it is one that causes greater elevations in DHT levels and the aforementioned ratio than others I am aware of, I can point you and your treating doctor to a differing treatment option that either elevates or lessens the problem.
Yea I got hypogonadism, I am on transdermals which has more conversion to DHT and E2, but if it wasnt for that they are viewed by a much better option by doctors.
