What Has Been Working For Me!

I got turned on to this forum after a forum member, cdnuts, contacted me via my website…

See…

propeciahelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2328

After an email exchange with him, I started doing the math, and I’ll be damned if my problems didn’t begin after a brief run on propecia.

It was such a short run, I never put the two together.

After spending a couple of hours here reading posts, I’m now convinced propecia was the start of all this for me…

I’ve been dealing with this for almost ten years, and in that time period, I’ve figured out a lot of things that work for me.

I’m going to pass on a few of the most important here.

Hopefully it will help some of you guys avoid the nightmare I’ve gone through over the last decade.

Natural testosterone Boosters

You guys are an educated group, so you know all of these do not work directly on testosterone. I use T boosters as a generic term on my site.

Here are the 7 natural supplements I get the most out of…

Tongkat Ali

Catuba-Muira Pauma

Mucuna Pruriens

Tribulus Terrestris

Butea Superba

Yohimbe

Horney goat weed

I have all of these on hand at all times. Here’s how I use them to ensure they work for me almost every time I take them.

I take each supplement for a day or two max, then cycle off onto something else.

I’m to the point now where I don’t need these everyday. Maybe once every 3rd day I’ll take one. That means that I hit up each T booster about once a month or so.

This eliminates the problem of tolerance. I’ve sure all of you have gone through this experience. You take a new supplement, get a big testosterone hit, only to see it disappear in a day or two.

The cycling program gets around that problem.

High intensity training

The growth hormone burst that comes along after intense exercise does very nice things to male androgen levels.

I hit it hard 4 days a week, working mostly legs, the biggest muscles in the body. Like clockwork, about 20 minutes after the routine, I feel the hormonal surge.

Here’s what a typical week looks like for me now.

Monday: Squats

Wed: Wind sprints

Fri: Jump Rope

Saturday afternoon: Jump Squats

This exercise has the nice side effect of building muscle and reducing bodyfat, all good for testosterone production.

Ejaculate once a week, Max!

This is a tough one, but without it, I don’t think I’d be where I am today.

If you ejaculate only once a week, you will see a big spike in sexual thoughts and motivation.

The big day for me is Sunday. That’s when I get busy with the wife, usually at least 2 or 3 times.

By the time Saturday rolls around, I find myself checking out my chubby, not very attractive, 55 year old neighbor.

That’s always a good sign!

For even more power, combine this with edging.

Take yourself right to the edge of orgasm, without ejaculating.

Rinse and repeat several times, then go someplace like the grocery store, and see where your head is at.

I can guarantee you it won’t be on the food!

Hope all this helps!

I’m looking forward to mixing it up with you guys!

I was doing some serious relating while reading your posts last night.

I could have written most of them myself!

Cheers!

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your insights.

I just wanted to clarify about the supplements you posted and have highlited those which are known for boosting Testosterone:

Tongkat Ali
Catuba-Muira Pauma
Mucuna Pruriens
Tribulus Terrestris
Butea Superba
Yohimbe
Horney goat weed

Out of these, only Tribulus and Tongkat Ali are considered “T boosters”.

Mucuna Pruriens contains L-DOPA and acts similarly to Sinemet, a levodopa (dopamine) drug used for Parkinsons… people should be VERY careful about this supplement, it may have serious adverse effects.

Yohimbe is a stimulant/aphrodisiac that works by blocking alpha-2-adrenergic receptors

Horney Goat Weed is a natural PDE5 inhibitor (like Viagra)

Muira Puama a supposed aphrodisiac.

Butea Superba I have not investigated in detail but have read it may have some adverse effects hormonally.

Anyway, not trying to “discredit” your post at all, just clarifying what each of these supplements do as the majority are not T boosters in of themselves, but may aid with sexual function regardless.

Cheers,

Mew.

Ya, that’s why I included this comment in my post…

“You guys are an educated group, so you know all of these do not work directly on testosterone. I use T boosters as a generic term on my site.”

I found it interesting that you highlighted tribulus as a testosterone booster.

I’d love to see your source if you have one.

All the studies I’ve seen say the libido boost comes from an increase in luteinizing hormone.

If Trib does boost T, that would be a very good thing.

Anyway, great forum you have going here Mew.

I’ve been reading through some of your posts, and you’ve posted a lot of really good material.

Ah yes, my bad… must have glossed over that. Still, prolly a good idea for us to break each down by mechanism of action so people will know what they might be taking.

Thanks, just trying to figure things out like the rest of us around here…

What exactly were your problems? If you wouldn’t mind filling out the Members Story template (at top of that subforum) and posting your history with the drug, it’d help us all get better acquainted with your side effects, treatments etc.

Also, have you ever gotten bloodwork done?

Cheers.

Mark,

Thanks for the post. I’m glad you joined us. The more heads, the better. Not to get to off topic, but if you could post any positive experiences with the Blakoe Ring, it may be of help. Many guys here have shrunken, shriveled genitals that have become hypoxic due to lack of blood flow. I just ordered one myself a day or two ago. Anything you could add would be of benefit.

Thanks,

CD

Hi Mew,

Regarding…

propeciahelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1589

I tracked down this full study in the library at UCI a while back.

While the researchers claimed that Tribulus increased mounting frequency, erections, and reduced the time bewtween ejaculations, they also pointed out that these results have not been replicated in human studies.

I’ve only seen one study that showed that Trib increased testosterone slightly, while numerous others have shown that it has no effect at all.

My gut tells me it’s something other than testosterone. Possibly protodioscin, a close relative of DHEA, or as mentioned earlier Leutinizing hormone.

Another clue that it may not be T, is the feel I get off of Tribulus.

You don’t want to put me in heavy traffic while juiced with Tongkat Ali, cause it won’t be pretty.

On Trib days, I’m all cool breeze. Traffic, no problem at all…

So who knows???

I’ll try to get to that Members Story template as soon as I get a break…

Hi CD,

Regarding the Blakeo Ring…

This thing has worked well for me.

It was more intense in the beginning, but even now if I take time off, I notice.

It seems to help guys the most who have testicular atrophy.

There’s some pretty amazing testimonials over at Thunders Place.

One guy in particular who did a serious run on roids, saw big gains in testicle size, and ejaculation volume.

I think he was using a homemade unit. I didn’t want to jack around with that, so I bought the real thing

It’s definitely increased my testicle size, and the size of my ejaculations as well.

Hope it works out for you!

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the forum. From the sound of it, you should consider writing about your experience in the “recoveries” section. The fact that you were eventually able to overcome your issues with a dedicated regimen is really encouraging to many of us.
