Went to the dermatologist today...

… and I was told that 9 mg-s (9 days) of finasteride can cause no side effects. How come do I still, after almost 3 months of quitting, have brain fog, watery semen and no morning woods then?
I payed 40 dollars to the doctor to get to know that.

Big surprise. Since dermatologists make their living off prescribing the drug to hairloss sufferers, do you really think they’d admit the drug can cause longterm or permanent side effects? Did you really need to pay money to realize this? Of course not.

For them to admit the drug can cause longterm damage would negatively impact their business, just as Merck doesn’t want to disclose problems as it would impact sales. Examples of what I’m talking about:

“Propecia® is marketed internationally as a drug with almost no side effects, and physicians routinely avoid discussion of its uncommon potential side effects

"Breast tenderness and enlargement are mentioned in the drug’s leaflet, but gain no attention among practicing dermatologists who usually don’t discuss this side effect with their patients"

propeciahelp.com/forum/viewt … atologists

"Dermatologists should heed the warnings of the PCPT and cease using Propecia (finasteride) and nonprescription blockers of ‘the bad body chemical DHT [dihydrotestosterone]’ (e.g., Hair Advantage, Avocor) for alopecia. "

If we knew the answer none of us would be here.

You’re wasting your time going to dermatologists, they don’t have the hormonal expertise or knowledge to understand what the drug did, nor do they care to. Go see an endocrinologist or those listed in DOCTORS section of this website like Crisler or Shippen.
