Weekly newsletter

Hello,

We need a more efficient way to send info out. We can not expect evey member to come online and search though all the posts trying to find inportant stuff.

We need to start a weekly newsletter highlighting new insights and so fourth.

For the first week I suggestion:

-Iodine.
It is critical for good health, there are some misconceptions about iodine. They are cleared up in this video. - youtube.com/watch?v=eDLrBl1nva8

-Having cortisol problems can cause a whole host of issues, such as anxiety, digestion problems, skin inflammation, fatigue and low body temp(which we all have). If people here do have cortisol issues they will feel much better after they address them. To test cortisol it is imperative that free cortisol is tested. This can be done by a saliva test which you can order yourself, or with a blood test that tests both cortisol and transcortin.

-People test do a full iron panel.
This should be done in all people at some stage in life regardless of health status. I have been reading many books on iron overload, patients get the run around and treated for symptoms, such as hypogonadism, hypothyroidism, liver disease and so fourth. They end up dying simply because they did not have an iron test. It is very important for everyone to keep their iron in the optimal range for good health. I was just diagnosed with high iron and wish i could have know earlier.

-This paper is worth a read it talks about with how sick animals had elevated estrogens, low cortisol and abnormal immunoglobulins. The animals had a whole array of conditions and treatment with cortisol resulted in a major improvement in symptoms. drplechner.com/pdf/elestrogen.pdf. We have had 4 out of 4 people test high for IgE. So perhaps it would be worth testing immunoglobulins.

What else do you guys think we should put in it?

Why not and why? The bulk of the data is summarized on the main site, propeciahelp.com. Regardless of the importance of your points, this site and forum is a gathering place for people suffering from persistent side effects after discontinuing finasteride, not an email service. Perhaps if you think this information needs to be summarized better you can start a new thread with links to the pertinent information, where it’s been discussed before, and why it’s important?

I spend many hours on here myself and have missed many important things. We can not expect everyone one with PFS to spend hours searching though this website trying to find appropriate information. A weekly newsletter would encourage more participation and update those people who have not logged in here for a while.

I personally don’t have time to craft and email a weekly newsletter of topics.

However, I am investigating if its possible to add a new function to the forum for “Digests”. A digest would allow users to choose if they want to receive a summary of new posts daily, weekly or monthly etc, and have those posts emailed to them.

I will need to look into this further to see if I can implement it, technically speaking.

Can I write a newsletter? With the help of others.

Can you also make the forum autosubscribe when people comment or open a thread. Lots of people do not do this and never check back.

This is a great idea. Why can’t Vincent do it?

I think we need something. There are so many posts and subjects and dead ends that it would be nice to see some sort of summary to guide folks. i.e. what is new, what has been proven to be dead-end, what are the latest theories, what is is helping members on the boards…

yes

maybe one for best integrators, one for best hormonal, drug one for best new drug etc

Yes I think maybe we can keep it to once evey 2 weeks or so.

I guess we can just get everyone to contribute in a thread and then send that out.

We can also use it to gain more media attention, we can guide people to contact various media companies. Natrual news, mercola, alex jones, we can also use it to create more attention on youtube by placing comments on pro-propecia videos and getting all of us to like it.
