We should be focusing more on the Pituitary & hypothalamus

Most of us who spent any amount of time trying to figure out WTF is wrong with us keep ending up back at the pituitary gland. All of my research keeps leading me back to the pituitary as a strong possibilty for the cause of our problems.

The obvious problem is the location of it just below the brain and the lack of options for treating it. The hypothalamus which is located above the pituitary is also heavily involved with regulating most of the hormones that the majority of us have that are messed up.

Take Testosterone for example.

Or how about Thyroid issues. There have been a few members here that I know of that had those.

or what about GH deficiency and pituitary problems. This is looking like my biggest problem right now.

or an over production of prolactin is also a product of the pituitary gland. Lots of guys here have this going on.

If you research pituitary disorders it always leads you back to a tumor. What if you have looked for a tumor with an MRI and they find nothing? There are few other options to treat the pituitary. It doesn’t mean there is nothing wrong with it. It just means they don’t know enough about it yet. Could the problem be the hypothalmus? I have read nothing about this as a possibilty for our problems, yet it is also heavily involved in our hormones.

As much as we all hate to think it, Our short term solution may need to be hormone replacement for what ever you are lacking, while we wait for the pie in the sky cure. We all know the pros or cons of this; so there is no need to state those. I for one believe our best bet for a cure will involve treating the pituitary gland or hypothalmus.

Why do we have high androstenedione?

yes problem is in our hypothalamus. It is as simple as 2+2=4.
look at blood reports and you will see 99% are hypogonadal due to low LH and FSH because hypthalamus is not firing as much as it should be doing normally.
only very few users have abnormalities like high prolactin or high Estradiole. Now question is why hypothalamus is not activating our pitutary gland. Is it damaged or have become dormant? I don’t know it is just coincidence or have something to do with but I remember while I was on SP I exerienced pain in the center of my head, It was in the form of waves and lasted for only seconds or minuts but was so intense that I ciried and felt like my veins are going to explode. It happened 3-4 times in 1 one month period. I never had that pain before or after. Was it my hypothalamus dying or damaging? I don’t know. Did any body experience that pain?

I experienced pain inside my head too. Deep in my head. For me, it would happen the worst at night. I could feel myself getting more and more dissconnected, but had no idea at the time it was from fin.

I don’t remember experiencing any sensation of pain deep in side my head. I do feel that my worst side effects from this drug are the neurological ones that it caused.

I’m going nuts with the lack of focus and the difficulty with motivation are killing me. All of these are tied in together. I used to be an incredibly focused person.

This is the question we would like an answer to. What did this drug do to our pituitary glands.

Why do some guys have a lack of one hormone and not another. My last blood test had shown a large up tick in Free T. Now if my pituitary is releasing LH and in turn causing my testicles to produce T, why is my GH so low. One would think if I am producing T normally, my pituitary would be operating properly.

I had an apt yesterday with a well renoun endocrinoligist. His specialty are is the Pituitary gland. He was a very nice guy and geniunely interested in helping, but I was surprised had didn’t have more to offer in terms of pituitary inormation.

I brought up GHRP-6 as possible remedy for me if my arginine test determines GH deficiency. He said that it was still in the testing phase, which is not true. The drug has been on the market for a couple of years.

I may steer clear of this one, but I have definitely not ruled out GH replacement therapy. I want my life back and I am willing to use GH to help me get it back if I am diagnosed GH deficient.
