hello
when i stopped propecia 2 years ago, i did a blood test.
my wbc became below the low border.
a 3 month after it was still same.
and now 1.5 years later it is little better but still below the low border.
before propecia it was in the middle of the normal range.
what could it be?
how could propecia do something like that?
does anyone else experience that?
I too have below normal WBC and RBC and such. Mine, I think is from Remeron (for sleep). It can cause bone marrow suppression. I searched this forum and low WBC doesn’t see common at all among us, but who knows.
People mention being sick and getting infections a lot more easily than before. Some even wondered if they didn’t have AIDS for that matter. My guess is that it’s common, but it’s just that people aren’t getting tested for it.
yes i am also a lot sicker than before.
it is realy weird.
i got tested for aids in the first year of my crash and came back negative im pleased to say,i was almost constantly sick with flu like viruses for the whole year,3 weeks ill one week ok then 3 weeks ill again and so on,i didnt really know what was happening to me back then so assumed i might have aids…
I also have low white blood cells, I also no that I am riddled with candida, as we have found I believe most of us are, out immune system find it impossible to keep up
why censor c a n d i d a it someone’s opinion and if it is ever found to be any part of this mess we are in shame on the person that took it on themselves to censor that word, nothing ever should be ruled out
“Higher SHBG and TT levels were associated with lower WBC counts.”
“Endogenous TT and SHBG levels are inversely associated with total WBC and granulocyte count in middle-aged and older men. Even though the underlying mechanism and causal directionality requires further exploration, these results support a link between hormonal status and low-grade inflammation.”

My SHBG is through the roof so I wouldn’t be surprised. I went from barely getting one cold a year to about one a month since having PFS. I’ll try to get it tested at my next doctor’s visit.
What does it implicate though? Isn’t low WBC the opposite of auto-immune?
my SHBG is ok, but you are right low wbc is the opposite from auto- immune.
my doctor sadi in the past it could be because the low vit d.
Whats your hormonal profile?
I’d be interested to know if there was anyone with perfectly normal testosterone, estrogen and SHBG. I have it in my mind if I get my SHBG down to a normal level and raise my free testosterone things will go back to normal, maybe thats idealistic.
Prolactin 193.4 mu/l (45-375)
Estradiol (e-2) 84 pmol/l (it not mention)
Tsh 1.55 mu/l (0.27-4.20)
Testosterone total 16.9 nmol/l (9.4-37.0)
SHBG 34 (10-57)
Free androgen index 50.30 (20-96)
Lh 7.4 iu/l (not mention)
Fsh 2.8 iu/l not mention
this is from 1 year ago.
yeah thats strange, looks very good. testosterone is a bit low but wouldn’t explain complete absence of libido.
guess it proves there’s more to it than just hormones
