Was Matthew Perry on finasteride?

From the reports, he was on a lot of stuff.

Obviously the ketamine sadly got him. However, there is an interesting note:

“Perry’s living room contained ‘multiple nicotine vaping products’, while nicotine lollipops were found in his fridge. Viagra and a hair-loss drug were also found in the house.”

He was also “getting injections of the male hormone testosterone”.

A sad death.

There been speculation about him for years on related forums, often because of fin people end up on lots of other stuff too. Got to be loads of celebs experiencing pfs. One of them making the connection and going public remains the key.

If anyone finds any articles confirming his use it could prove to be invaluable. Something I’m working on.

He’s one of my favorite actors and if he’s in such bad shape due to finasteride then what happened this year is a joke to me

It’s worth mentioning that Matthew had a drug addiction for years, and like Robin Williams, never knew if their death could be attributed to Propecia, or to dozens of other different drugs, even if it was definitely Finasteride , the media will always mess with the report

The problem with Matthew Perry, like a lot of actors who have lost their lives and who have also taken finasteride, is that there were a lot of other factors at play, whether that be drug addiction or whatever, so it is very difficult to make a clean case re: causality, although all of us here know that it is entirely possible that it played a part and that a lot of the other stuff could be in response to PFS. Difficult to both disentangle and prove however. Also in Hollywood I would imagine that a Propecia prescription is as commonplace as a blister pack of Paracetamol (not quite of course but you get my point). It will be so much a part of the armoury of the youthful beauty obsessed that it will barely register.

I’d agree, a clean living, healthy leading man probably isn’t that common in Hollywood, I imagine it’s practically standard to be taking various things for cosmetic purposes, I can imagine hair loss drugs and steroids for muscle mass are disproportionately used.

Related to this, I recently was reminded that Michael Jackson was bald and had been wearing a wig for years when he died. He also had been using a anaesthetic to sleep (it was an overdose of it which killed him). I think it’s unlikely that if Jackson who’d had many cosmetic treatments was going bald that he wouldn’t have persued treatment. Entirely possible that he’d been left with impaired sleep as a result.

Also note ketamine has been talked as a possible treatment option for pfs and even prescribed for it by goldstein I believe

Sounds more and more like perry was going down the pfs rabbit hole hunting for treatments…on top of his addictions
