I used finasteride for about a year, but after more than a year since I stopped, I don’t longer have libido problems (at least that’s how I feel), but I can’t get full erections anymore. I tried Viagra and the first time it worked perfectly for me, I even kept my erection after ejaculating. The second time time worked pretty well, but not as the first time, but after the fourth time I couldn’t get full erections anymore (maybe 3/4 full). Without Viagra I can get half full erections usually (and full erections when I masturbate). Why did this happen? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution?
I got the same problem with Horny Goat Weed, also a PD5 inhibitor. It works only if I take big breaks, like a few weeks in between. It’s also harder to achieve an erection in the days/week after I take it. Haven’t tried it in months because of this.
This is a nightmare.
Not even the things that are meant to help help us.
Hey Tim
I’ve been suffering fin symptoms upon cessation in July 2009 (last year)
I’ve found that rotating through the variety of ED medications does help.
For example I usually go one month with 5mg of Cialis everyday, followed by Viagra 25 mg every night and the same quantity when I need to perform for a month and Levitra 5mg every night and the same quantity like the Viagra.
Doctors usually say that the body doesn’t develop a tolerance, however I feel this does happen and the above ED medication protocol has worked for me so far.
Best regards in the continuous struggle
Stephen
Tried Cialis (20 mg) for the first time. It gave me a huge headache and made cumming a lot harder, but didn’t have almost any improvement, erectionwise, at all (even Viagra worked better for me). My halfassed erections are starting to make me feel really depressed.
If meds such as viagra, cialis and levitra are not used daily, but say only 2 - 3 times a week or less instead, would you expect that there will be less chance of seeing decreased effectiveness from these drugs, like some people seem to be experiencing?
And would also cycling between the drugs every couple of weeks, or even possibly each individual time further reduce the risk of reduced effectiveness from usage of the drugs?
It makes sense to me that if indeed some tolerence is being builtup (even though this isnt meant to happen), less frequent usage, plus cycling drugs should show some benefits and hopefully keep them working at maximum effectiveness…
Can anyone comment from experience?
If these drugs will at least allow me to stay hard enough to have proper intercourse (I dont care if I dont last long before blowing, I just want to be able to last long enough to blow!), then that is all I can ask for and this will probably make me a pretty happy man…
Would love to hear any feedback!
I think it depends. I took hgw no more than 2 times a week and developed tolerance within a few months
just switch the meds up
take viagra, then levitra, then cialis it will work
add some yohimbine into the mix every now and then
to prevent tolerance
