Very poor understanding

It is one thing to know what is the cause and another to elucidate the mechanism, that is to say, how it is caused. This is one of the rudiments of philosophy and science.

He says,

In other words, while presumably precipitated by the finasteride treatment, the observed differences between the “syndrome experiencers” and those without it, may reflect variation in predisposing and maintaining factors, rather than being a direct physiological consequence of PropeciaTM.

He uses sophistry with an air of innocence.

However the process of the mechanism is, it is a brute fact that finasteride is the cause of pfs. Because it happens after taking fin in all of our cases and there is no other alternative idea of the cause which is common to all of our cases. So, there is (and he has) no reason and no idea to challenge the fact and belief. “In other words,” the belief that fin is the cause is really the scientific recognition and understanding. And then, The understanding and knowledge is already a good and sufficient reason to ban the drug.

I can not understand why doctors who met pfs patients have not announced and informed of the problem in their community. It is their office(officium).

He doesn’t hide the fact that he was paid by Merck to help them during their lawsuit. Meaning he’s not really objective on the matter.

Very much downplayed IMO

You are right. Of course his position is not neutral. But the problem is not that he is not nonpartisan or his opinion is not unbiased, but his argument itself is a sophistry.
