Varicolceles & testosterone levels

I just stumbled onto a thread on a muscle chat forum, where a few guys are discussing the link between T and a varicolceles. I had been diagnosed with a Varicolcele quite a while back, but I guesss I dismissed it with so many of the sides that we have.

Apparantly there is a link between the two and fixing the vericolceles leads to a high success rate in increasing T and Free T with most men.

Elevation of serum testosterone and free testosterone after embolization of the internal spermatic vein for the treatment of varicocele in infertile men

Free Testosterone nearly doubled in men having the embolization procedure.

A varicocele can cause poor blood flow in the testicles and penis. I had also read that if this lack of blood flow persists it can cause tissue to die. Could this be an explanation for the loss of sensation we have experienced when having sex.

I can not locate this link, but will try to find it.

What are the signs and symptoms of the condition?

I have this dull ache from time to time as I know many do here.

Another piece of the puzzle is how could this poison do this? If you do any research on varicocele, Kidneys come up. Simply Google varicocele and kidneys you will see the link to kidney stones and all of the other related problems. Since we know kidneys are responsible for removing waste from our body, it makes sense.

I have scheduled an apt with a uroligist to discuss my varicoceles.

First verify whether you have a spermocele or a varicolcele, they are similar and some docs can’t tell them apart.

If it is a variocolcele, you should research surgicial and non surgical approaches. The embolization procedure is fairly crude, find a doc that does the microscopic subinguinal type.

Let me know how you make out - kazman

Kazman,

The Uroligist doctor I am going to see is very well respected in this area. I have to wait 2.5 months just to see him. He knows his stuff very well.

As far as treating it. I am not going to rush into anything. I need to thoroughly understand all of the treatments available. I am actually scheduled to meet with my endo doctor tomorrow. I will bring it up and discuss it with him when I go.

When I called to setup an apt with the Uroligist, the secretary engaged me in a bunch of questions over the phone. She told me they have a lengthy form that needs to be filled out for patients with ED. She also told me that is quite common for a varicolcele to cause other problems of this nature.

I have been to about 10 doctors in the last year and not one had a very detailed set of questions centered around ED. Most of them wanted to put me on TRT or hand me some Viagra. I only wish I decided to get an apt with this guy sooner.

I know this is just another theory amoung the hundreds that float around here, so I don’t want to get my hopes to high. Logically, it has some merit to it. It could explain the loss of sensation and shrinkage. So at least that is encouraging. I will discuss it with my doctor tomorrow as well.

Good stuff boston, got to follow all the leads mate.
