Urologist appointment in two weeks - any recommendations?

I have an appointment with a urologist in early February. It’s been several years since I’ve seen a uro for erectile dysfunction. I’m going to request a Doppler ultrasound to check blood flow, as well as the test that is done to check blood pressure in the penis (don’t know the name of the test). I might also ask for a nocturnal penile tumescence test to check for nocturnal erections.

Does anybody else have any recommendations for tests I should have done?

I will post the results of my appointment and the tests I have done in this thread.

Prostate ultrasound/DRE, or culture to check for prostatitis.

Hormone testing goes without saying, of course, if you can.

Thanks for the recommendations Mew.

However, I should point out that prostate cultures are largely pointless for anyone who is suffering from any type of chronic prostatitis (aka chronic pelvic pain syndrome). I’ve done a lot of research into the various forms of prostatitis and spoken with a knowledgeable urologist who specializes in this sort of thing. Studies have been done showing no significant differences between semen cultures of men with and without symptoms of chronic prostatitis. The urologist I went to last year has been researching chronic prostatitis and interstitial cystitis for years, and he no longer does semen cultures.
