Saw Palmetto operates in a different manner than Finasteride, but still involves blocking the effects of DHT and shrinking the prostate.

Thus there is the potential from side effets from Saw Palmetto… although they may be milder compared to Finasteride.

Unfortunately 2 members on this forum have reported major problems after taking SP extract supplements… erectile dysfunction, loss of libido etc…

Only you can decide wether you want to continue taking it.

im not usually one to pimp pharma drugs but minoxidil has worked pretty good for me and it’s cheap

get off the saw palmetto and use something that doesn’t ‘help’ baldness through hormonal change

hi The_Ruffneck,Mew

Thank you for your valuable suggestions..

I need your suggestions about this…I have seen this in one blog…

Here’s the best way to regrow hair

Take some saw palmetto oil, rosemary oil, ginger oil, lavender oil, and jojoba oil. Take some Aloe Vera Gel and put some in a small cup. Now take the essential oils, and drop about 5 drops of each oil onto the aloe vera gel. Mix it well until it looks semi orangy. The main ingredient in this mix is the saw palmetto oil, its purpose is to reduce dihydrotestosterone in your body, which is the main cause of hair loss and all forms alopecia areata.

 Can i try this?????

Thanks

Sure, you can try it. Most likely everything will be fine. If you experience problems, stop using it.

Also, this isn’t a hairloss forum so questions about hairloss are best served by other sites like hairlosshelp.com

Cheers.

I took Minoxidil 5% before I took Propecia, but got an allergic reaction from the Minoxidil (bumps on ears, foreheard, hairline on neck, etc.). And I thought that was bad. You know something else is bad when you’d rather go back and have that Minoxidil.
