This might as well have been published in 2004.
in the sense that this is now trivial and obsolete?
with PSSD we are not yet at this point. could it be a study not too unreachable to try?
I got ahold of the full study today and thought it was fascinating. They do talk about PFS quite a lot to.
I can’t copy the text from my phone but look at this graph.
Patients who are on finasteride have higher DHT in urine? Isn’t that what @5-alpha-victim has also found in PFS?
Also T, Epi-T, E1 and E2 is way higher.
Another interesting bit is the part on amino acid synthesis / metabolism.
Phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis = norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin.
Also tyrosine metabolism was altered.
- It is known that aromatic amino acids, which are significantly different in our study, e.g., phenylalanine and tyrosine, are precursors to the formation of important hormones that influence nerves, mood, and behavior and are associated with Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease.
