Two weeks on propecia during steroid cycle, and consequently having erectile difficulties

#Don’t remember exactly. Definitely a google search. Maybe something like “propecia erectile dysfunction”, which would’ve been thought of when I was brainstorming the cause of my sudden erectile dysfunction.

24 years old. 5’8" and 155 lbs

  1. Do you excercise regularly? If so, what type of excercise?

Weightlift about twice per week.

  1. What type of diet do you eat (vegetarian, meat eater, raw, fast-food/organic healthy)?

As much meat and veggies as possible. I avoid processed foods.

  1. Why did you take Finasteride (hair loss, BPH, other)?

I am unsure whether I have MPB or not, but was in the middle of a steroid cycle and introduced propecia in attempt to stifle the potential onset of MPB, general hair thinning, and receding hairline due to the DHT conversion.

  1. For how long did you take Finasteride (weeks/months/years)?

#Two weeks.

  1. How old were you, and WHEN (date) did you start Finasteride?

#I started on September 1st of this year.

  1. How old were you when you quit, and WHEN (date) did you quit?

#I quit 4-5 days ago.

  1. How did you quit (cold turkey or taper off)?

#Cold turkey.

  1. What type of Finasteride did you use – Propecia, Proscar, Fincar or other generic?

#Some generic. I don’t recall off hand.

  1. What dose did you take (eg. 1 mg/day, 1 mg every other day etc.)?

#1.25 each day.

  1. How long into your use of Finasteride did you notice the onset of side effects?

#Almost immediately, however the potential severity did not occur to me until over a week later. I had done a reasonable amount of research prior to taking propecia, but the fact is that it’s not easy to come across the potential seriousness of complications unless you activately know they exist. For instance, if you google around “propecia” and study it based on search results, you will not find too many mentions of the serious side effects.

  1. What side effects did you experience while on the drug that have yet to resoilve since discontinuation?
