TRY IT

Ive been coming here of and on for 3 years or so, maybe more maybe less i have lost track of postpropecia time.

Ive seen/heard so many here suffer and i know what its like. What still suprises me is that so few actually have tried Testosterone gel. Why?

Do yourself a favor, take 1 tube or 2 even of testogel for a couple of days. If it dont work for you, if you feel your libido and erection or even thinking bout sex dont change, then you know its probably not down to low T or dht for you or atleast you know that supplementing it wont take care of the problem. Arent u all thinking about what it would be like if u tried? I was horny as hell within 2 hours from my first application.

Seeing threads “like no hairloss after quitting” , what is the most likely cause for that do you think? if you only had 1 bet what would it be?

Just try it. it can only fail. do this for yourself! maybe you are like me? if so, just knowing you can function normally sexually is a big relief even if u choose not to go on T therapy for life.

Try it, you have nothing to loose (except hair)

Yes, I am very willing to see if I sense any change in my sex drive by using a testosterone booster. But no doctor is willing to prescribe it to me, not even for a short trial to see if I feel a difference in my libido.

You have to push for it.

Your latest labs show an increase in T tho so maybe your going the right direction atleast.

I can imagine its hard for doctors to prescribe T to any1 in their twenties. And look at me, my life is now pretty good. My t doubled and i feel generally okay. Libido isent great but its alot better than it was.

Where would i be now if i went along the route of Trt, who knows.
However i dont think 3 days of trt will effect your long term recovery at all and if you really want to try Trt you could probably get it with your values if you push for it.

Im not saying its the solution for you or any1else, im mearly saying im suprised noone seems to be willing to do what it takes to try it. Every1 here have libido problems and many have had so for years.

It’s definitely on the horizon if I never get over this otherwise. But I want to avoid it at all costs since it’s a last resort situation as my T levels have been good at different points, and who knows how long it might take your body to rebound after you quit it. Even if you only take it for three days maybe it takes a month or two to get natural T levels up after, I don’t know. That’s the only thing I’m worried about. But yeah, I definitely think that there are a lot of people in here who need to consider it, especially because one or two of the older recovery stories credit a TRT program of a few months with an eventual recovery. If I was going to take it I’d want to maybe try it for a month or two, until I’ve felt good for more than a few weeks at least, and then try to drop it. Some have had success like that.

Fair enough seems like you have a plan.

I cant seem to remember your story even tho i read it this morning but in my defense i must have read 20 stories

You joined nearly 2 yeas ago. About the 2 year mark was when things actually started to get alot better for me. Incidently (?) right after trt for a month.

I still think about trt sometimes. Because i cant shake that feeling of beeing very honestly horny. Its a really good feeling. But since my T was so good on my last labs i dont want to mess with it at this point.

Im a bike messenger and i ride hard! I think this have contributed to my health and T levels. Seemed almost impossible to get through a week at first but after a month or so it became alittle easier and so on, today i know for a fact im still slower on my bike than i was b4 propecia (i also race sometimes) but im getting there.

Was it your story where u stated that u have looked at trt as giving up but you have now changed your mind and thought of it as “if thats what it takes” i will do it? If that was you, i felt the same but was wrong. Trt is not giving up its giving yourself a chance. You should try it if u feel no improvements on your own.

Actually I only joined one year ago, but it’s now coming up on two years since I quit the drug. There seems to be something quite significant about the two year mark being off fin, as it’s kind of common for people to start feeling better after two years. I actually keep this in mind a lot when I get especially depressed and bleak about the whole situation. Hopefully there are better times around the corner.

Yeah I did say something along the lines of TRT being a “giving up” solution for some. Specifically I was saying that it seems like TRT for a lot of people (and I am guilty of this attitude from time to time) means accepting that you’ll never get better, but that’s mostly based on the conception that it is absolutely a life-long commitment once it is started, which itself is based on the fact that most people who take it have some defect in producing Testosterone that developed way earlier in life. The actual fact is that people – and not just fin users – successfully get OFF TRT. I’ve heard of plenty of cases. I’m definitely up for trying it short-term if I can’t see light any other way. And even if it is permanent, as long as I feel better, what’s more important?

Yeah I never posted in the Stories section, because it just seemed like everone had the same story. But I should get around to it. I took the stuff for ten months, and had problems from about month six.

So, are you feeling better now after being off TRT? And you said that around two years you started feeing better? I’ll have to look up your info.

Oh my misstake. I read join date Jan 07 and not Nov 07 for some reason.

I dont know if i have a member story… maybe i do

Yes i feel alot better now but its been a long road for me. I remember reading the health forum dr.chrisler runs together with mew a long time ago. We probably have about the same time off propecia.

In short as i remember it today.

Not so bad one propecia, did pro for maybe 4 month or so with doing a pill every other day. Worked good for my hair, some sexual sides but nothing to worrie about. Stopped everything went back to normal in a month or so.

Did another run (fu*k) of propecia for 6 months now with a pill every day. Sides were only sexual at first but then my stomach started acting up from time to time.

Another side effect was that i gained 15 pounds and almost all of it muscle, add to that that most of that were on my legs since im a bike messenger. I had huge massive swollen thighs (kinda looked ridiculous cause im a skinny guy) that my family commented on…

Stopped cause i ran out of prescription. While renewing it, hell broke loose. First extremely horny. I had to have sex imidetly when that feeling hit me, yet i was always fatigued and couldent sleep at all. This went on for a couple of weeks then the sexdrive slowed down and dissapeared completely but the fatigue and stomach issues were still around.

Found out i was allergic to gluten about a year off propecia, things improved alot after no gluten diet.

2years of i tried Testogel for a month. I was cured sexually. Infact i was more than cured cause i aint never been horny like that ever in my life. And semen sensitivity all returned and better than b4 propecia. Even flacid size returned to normal with a couple of weeks.
I also remember sleeping soooo well. And actually beeing tired at 23:00 instead of sitting staring at computer till 03:00.

Sides on Tgel however made me stop it. I was feeling tired to much and my chest was getting bigger. But worst i was sluggish in my head, like i couldent think very well. Like i was getting dumber lol. I also felt somewhat as if i was living in my own bubble like i was inside something.

However after quitting i felt really bad for about 4-5 days i think. Then back to pre Tgel wich wasent bad. Then i started working again. I cant remember feeling getting better wich is weird it just kinda happend so slowly i dident notice. Working with your body makes alot of stress go away wich i think was great for me. I just stopped thinking about propecia.

Today 1 year later my T value have almost doubled. My free T has doubled! I got morning erection almost every day. Dont think i had every day b4 propecia either. Im able to do stuff i have the energy. My head is clear etc. My urge for sex is still missing but i have no trouble getting it up or similar, its as b4 propecia with perhaps alittle less sensitivity. But its been so long, who knows. Maybe im comparing to when on t-gel when sex feelt ever better than ever.

In short: today i feel okay but i still went to the doc to check levels so that tells me im not 100& back yet.

I don’t run a health forum with Dr. Crisler, lol. Did you mean we were both reading it around the same time?

lol yeah i meant he run it or supervised it… anabolic something or similar i still get mails saying someone responded to some thread there from time to time
