I’ve had muscle loss all over my body and looking for a natural regimen to combat this.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for anything like creatine, whey protein or carnitine? I know Hertoghe prescribed to.robin the latter.

lucky fax,
I had lost some muscle, but still was able to maintain some through lifting weights. You have do a very stict syle with slow repetitions.
ALso, have you had your IGF1 & IGF3 checked? They are protein hormones. Production of IGF is stimulated Growth Hormone. IGF1 & IGF3 have anabolic effect on the body.
Loss of muscle is a side effect of low GH. I was just tested for GH & IGF1 & IGF3. My numbers wer very low. I am not even in the range.
my numbers:
IGF1 93 (106-277)
IGF3 2.7 (3.4-6.7)

I looked at one of your past blood tests. Your free T looks similar to mine. You should get your GH / IGF1 & IGF3 tested as well.
good luck boston
I’ve been working out hard, 4+ times a week. keep workouts under 45 min, longer gets you cortisol buildup. And vary the workouts, don’t keep the same routine.
What’s helped me the most is “burst training” after I built up my form a bit. 1 minute of hard exercise (hard as you can go), 1 min of break. It took me 8 months before I was in good enough shape to do this. When I started I could do only about 5 min on the treadmill at mixed walk/jog.
I also take a pure whey protein directly after workout with aminos, I eat directly before workout and sometimes during, and drink water constantly. On fin I was 158, after coming off and losing the water weight I went to 142, now I’m back to around 146 (high school weight) and the gain is muscle. Muscles are still softer than they should be but it’s a big improvement over where I was.
I may do creatine for DHT replacement but haven’t gotten to that point yet.
This shit is serious and my worst side so I need to figure out a good plan, even phoned an HIV hotline as I consider it similar to their wasting syndrome. Thing is many HIV sufferers find their muscles respond to TRT which isn’t necessarily the case for us unlucky few with this side.
I want to try creatine, carnitine and whey protein with a paleo diet. I can’t exercise properly at the moment.
Does this cheap stuff look legit?

They also stock cheap creatine.
I dunno maybe I should go to a BB website but was never into working out or even nutrition before all of this.
If you want creatine, I get mine from t-nation:

Incredibly cheap and it’s not spiked with any other crap. And natural_one, are you sure the creatine you were taking didn’t have other junk in it? A lot of creatine products do. I’ve never heard of creatine affecting libido, and I never had a problem with it when I used to take it (before propecia).
natural_one1976 - Did you get any boost in your libido from Carnosine? Has anyone else tried it?
Natural one, really, don’t take this the wrong way, but you give the worst advice on this forum.
This is bull. I’ve been cycling creatine for months now and it doesn’t effect my libido one way or the other. Nor is this a listed side effect ANYWHERE. Creatine is naturally occuring in every muscle in your body and in meat. Does steak kill your libido? But, this is coming from a guy who upon taking one tablet of DIM or quecetin noticed his voice change immediately, his balls shrank, facial hair fell out and he lost all his muscle. In one day…
I may be embellishing a bit, but you get my point. Also, he thinks vitex cures EVERYTHING when it is known to cause dysphoria and kill libido.
You want to gain muscle? Go to primordial performance and buy the testosterone recovery stack along with the testosterone conversion factor. Also pick up a bottle of phyto test.
Eat a strict Paleo diet. The diet alone is completely anabolic.
Work out correctly with heavy weights three times a week and do sprints two times a week.
Do this plan to the letter, and you will have gains.
After you cycle of the PP products then you need to buy 7-10 different T boosters and cycle them so that you do one each day with out repeating it for a week to ten days. Do this indefinitely. After another month, cycle all PP products again.
You will have no choice but to pack on muscle. You will be reprogramming your body at the cellular level, changing your DNA. The diet is HUGE and needs to be followed closely. It is the backbone to all Successful training.
Do this, you can’t lose bro.
I have to agree with cdnuts here, if you train hard and eat good food and lots of it, your body will respond. things like whey protein, l-glutamine and creatine can help fill in the gaps in your diet to help you get the calories you need to grow. also focus on compound excercises like bench press, deadlifts, squats, chin ups.
The most important thing is consistency, if you start skipping meals or workouts or half-assing it you won’t get anywhere. A good way to keep motivated is to test yourself every couple of weeks by gong for a “max” rep, as heavy as you can lift or push out as many reps as you can in one set. here you will see yourself getting stronger.
get your GH and IGF 1 levels tested.
The supps also make a HUGE difference. I’ve been taking them for quite some months now and I’m just getting better and better.
