Hello,
I ordered some fin from overseas and took one pill last night (1mg) then I ran across this site. If I quit now (I have only taken one pill) will there be any lasting effect? After reading these horror stories, I don’t think it is a good idea for me to take this drug.

Stop taking it now and you will be absolutely fine. You’ve spent enough time here to realise that gambling with your health for the sake of your hair is not wise.
This site is full of guys who only wish they were in your position.
Stop taking Propecia, and stop worrying about your hair. I don’t know how old you are, but give it five years and friends will start losing their hair, and you’ll wonder why you cared so much about it. Give it ten years and you’ll look back and laugh at the fact that you ever cared about going bald.
Stop taking Propecia, leave this site (it helps us, but it’s a depressing read) and get on with your life.

that’s an overreaction. 
Sides only affect a tiny proportion of men and even then there’s no proven evidence that they’re permanent. most guys find that Finasteride stops or slows down hairloss for many years.

Agreed, and that’s great for the majority of men that can experience halting of hairloss without side effects.
Unfortunately there is also a smaller, unknown percentage of men worldwide that get side effects from the medication which will either resolve upon discontination, or likely for a smaller unknown percentage still, have them continue even after quitting.
Be glad you are not in the latter group thus far, and enjoy your meds if that is the case.
