Years ago I had pfs for a while after stopping fin
Ot wasn’t that bad un that I ecovesd within a year ir twi naturally

Following a period of stress I took an antidepressant and have since had a bad crash and lost muscle as well as libido. It’s much worse than the pfs crash

I didn’t know about “pssd” or whatever its called. I k ow they had potential long term sexual sides but I have been surprised to see the PSSD full spectrum of sides on that reddit and social.media. pssd wasn’t a thing when I had pfs, at least that I noticed.

Reading here and elsewhere its seems that having had pfs before made me more vulnerable.

Idk what to do, my t levels are in range and urologist didn’t help. I feel worse after ejaculations etc. I also can’t get drunk. I never knew this was a symptom

Can simeome tell me, are pfs and pssd the same thing?

Why can’t I react to substances anymore and what has this to do with AR overexpression?

I had mildish pfs that went away after a year or so about ten years ago.

In that time I remember people on here taking remeron aka mirtazipine for sleep. Now I read that drug alone cam crash people like pfs.

Can someone explain why substances no longer exert any effect? How does this tie in with the AR overexpression theory? It seems like brain damage.

I can also bo longer get a rush from music. It feels like dopamine has been turned off. I never had these symptoms with pfs, I think I briefly had the loss of feeling from music but it went away and I attributed it then to depression.

Could you fill in some extra info, in the first post, the name of the antidepressant, etc please?

In answer to your question, we see significant overlap with PSSD patients. Until we know more, it’s impossible to say the conditions are the same but you might take a “walks like a duck, quacks like a duck” attitude to it.

I remember when I first had pfs and lost enjoyment in a number of things, including music. With time, this has come back to me.
