I am alarmed at the number of people reporting similar side effects to my own. I was a typical mid-twenties male trying to keep his hair and thus trying propecia. Four months of usage brought many episodes of erectile dysfunction, irregular ejaculation patterns, loss of libido and a very unusual lack of drive/ambition. I have long since become a regular head shaver and needless to say will never take this drug again. The side effects seemed to last about six months or so after I stopped taking the drug, gradually decreasing in this time period. Luckily I am fully recovered and feeling great from exercise, a healthy diet and new perspective on life.
In closing, I would like to propose the possibility that some legal action be taken against Merk and other distributors of this drug as I believe evidence could be accumulated to show that they have fudged their side-effect statistics; perhaps even drastically. What do you guys think?
I think it’s great but they have been planning for this since before we even knew about the drug. It will be an uphill fight. I urge people to continue reporting the ongoing side effects to Merck and the FDA every few months. More complaints will spur investigation.
