Thyroid meds and also: testical Hydrocele and varicocele

I am getting relive from TYhryroid meds (sytharoid and cytomel) Are there any natural alternatives? Just thought i would ask becase i dont want to jump from the frying pan to another frying pan.

I know need to post my story - but long story short i had many of the same symptoms as all of you which co-incided with stopping FIN.To make it worse I stopped started several times. I happen to be middle aged so of course my symptoms have been attributed to this by most doctors. I have been to GP, 2 urologists, 2 endros and anti-aging doctor.

Quatifyable Tangible Symtpoms

The only thing everyone can agree on is :

  • low Thyroid (T3 and T4)

  • Testicals: Hydrocele and varicocele (one of each… which is “nothing to worry about” per urologist). (allthough i see that spider veins is a symptom of HepC which scares me. …I also have tetical pain (not bad but always present)

  • glucose is high so that might account for some fatigue (pre diabetic?)

  • bilirubin is high (liver trouble?)

  • orgasms not to pleasureable and libido is low

Past treatments:

  1. Anti aging doctor protocole: was Test + HCG + HGH + Crysin + Thyroid.

Allthough this made me feel good, I had some issues with it (which ill post in my story later) Crysin failed to reduce estridol levels and at one point I was as high as 102. Novadex (tamoxofin) made me feel good but made it impossible to achieve orgasm so I stopped it.

  1. Endro: I am currently weened off everything and have opted for ordinary pharmaceutical company thyroid meds (cytomel & sytharoid) and this has fixed the fatigue and depression. Still have little libido.

LABS:

My lab results have varied over the last couple of years especially when on HRT, but low available T, and low thyroid and high estradol seem like the trend.

DHT became normal after stopping FIN and my anemia went away then also.

I get more labwork next week for the first time since weaning off HRT so I am interested in the results. Libido is still not where it used to be allthough the functionality is there.

I will post lab results and my story later this week.

Aso would like to know what to tell the endro regarding the 3a-diol-G. I wrote that test on my last req (my self)

I am intersted in natural T boosters and natural estrigne inhibitors but am wanting to see if I can get thru this without any more boiidentical stuff or meds. I am going to try to gradually reduce the Thyroid meds if the las results are otherwise ok and see how low i can go or if my bodys T3 & T4 will gradually come back.

Questionguy,

There was a guy on this forum that had thyroid issues and used Armour Thyroid and says all of his sides went away. I believe this product is on back order. I have read Nature thyroid is also very effective.

Another alternative that is very inexpensive and might help is Iodine. I had my thyroid tested and although my endo didn’t think I had a thyroid problem my T3 seemed low to me. Iodine is essential for the Thyroid gland to produce thyroid hormones. I bought the iodine and started using it. I believe it has helped with energy and overall well being.

I had to stop using for about 2 weeks prior to a blood test. When I stopped using it felt much worse and had a lot less energy.

Questionguy, its interesting that your billirubing is high, as so far you and I are the only ones on this forum to have high billirubin.

This indicates liver dysfunction and could the backbone of all of our troubles.

What has your doctor said about your high billirubin?

Doctors veiw high billirubin in 3 different ways. First, depending on the ratios of direct and indirect billirubin (check this, its been a while), you may have a harmless defect in your genes called Gilberts Syndrome.

If your ratios of billirubin are a certain way, you may have Hep C or liver disease.

Thirdly, good anti-aging doctors say that Gilberts Syndrome is a sign of liver “dysfunction” which means that your liver itself is “healthy” but you have some kind of irritation on the liver, which is usually general toxicity in your body caused by some heavy metal toxicity, candida or something. Basically it means that your liver is overburdened with toxins and one or more detoxifcation pathways may be blocked.

I have also heard one good anit aging doctor say that high billirubin is directly caused by Copper Toxicity.

I would go back to your doctor and find out what the cause is of the high billirubin. Is it Gilberts Syndrome, Hep C or Liver Disease.

If they say its Gilberts Syndrome or its “harmless”, go to a good anti aging doctor or naturapath and tell them what I have just told you above.

First thing I would be doing if I were you is doing a zinc taste test. You can get this online or from most chemists or health food stores. If you test low on zinc, I would start supplementing with a liquid zinc supplement at around 50mg of elemental zinc per day.

Since copper opposes zinc, if you were high in copper, your zinc would be low. Zinc is responsible for around 30% of your Testosterone production. It is also vital for prostate health and about 300 other different things within the body. No man should be low on Zinc.

Going back to the high billirubin, you could also get checked for candidada which is a simple spit test (google it) and if positive, go to a good naturapath for treatment - usually anti fungals and a candida diet for 6 weeks.

You also may have leaky gut syndrome. This too can be treated by a good anti aging doctor or naturapath.

How are your stools? Are you constipated? Is there undigested food in your stools when you eat vegetables?

I will add to my above post too, that sore testicles are also a symptom of copper toxicity.

And the low thyroid is a by product of a compromised metabolism probably due the dysfunctional liver, probably caused by a copper excess. How does copper become toxic in humans? Check your water pipes in your house to see if you have copper pipes. Drinking water through copper pipes every day leads to copper toxicity. Might be a good idea to switch to spring water for a while too, although supplementing with Zinc should counter it.

Please note, this not medical advise and you should check with your doctor before trying anything ive said on this thread.
