Yes, I understand this has been covered already but opinions seem all over the place and inconsistent.
But as regards to zinc piconlinate (spelling) what are everyone’s thoughts.
my issue with it is the 5ar2 reducing aspect of it otherwise id take it every day. My fear is taking it and it contributing to my already weak penile sensation and that is something I do not want to do at all.
However, I keep reading about how zinc will boost mood and libido and erections as well as sperm quality and quantity. Seems like a no brainer but again the penile insensitivity that has plagued my life for a long long time.
So boys, any positive suggestions or tips would be eternally appreciated.

ive taken zinc before, I noticed that while taking it I had reduced odor from my armpits, but after taking it my armpit odor came back again. I don’t think that zinc has any permanent effect on DHT levels.
hmmm…perhaps 5ar2 is somehow responsible for sweat and the zinc inhibited it?
Thank you for responding. I just really don’t know if I should be taking it. Kinda like a high risk high reward thing.

I was worried about the same thing, but think about it this way, zinc is already in a lot of foods that we eat; if it turned out that zinc does permanently downregulate DHT then that would mean that almost nobody would have DHT since their DHT levels would be gradually reduced over time by the zinc that is present in foods. Since this isn’t the case, zinc must be safe, and in my experience it is, and does not have lasting effects on DHT levels.
I emailed Dr. Jacobs about the issue and he said “Zinc is a cofactor not a direct inhibitor of 5-ar”
So I assume he means other things need to be present or idk.
There is a difference between steroidal 5AR inhibitors (like fin) which have a permanent effect and non-steroidal inhibitors (like zinc) which do not.
If zinc exacerbates your symptoms, it should be no problem to just stop taking it. I don’t think anyone here has documented any permanent deterioration simply as a result of taking zinc.
Zinc is known to be beneficial for male reproductive health, so if you find the overall effect to be positive then enjoy!
