Things to know before I see an endocrinologist

I have been referred to an endocrinologist in a couple weeks to discuss my pfs symptoms. I took the drug for 4 years and have been off of it for one. My worst symptom is a nearly nonexistent libido. I also get no spontaneous or nocturnal erections, along with depression. A gp tested my T levels which was around 320. He told me this was normal for a 26 year old, which I dont know if I believe. I am seeing the endo but wanted to touch base with the community here about important considerations I should bring up.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

They will do basic check to make sure your organs are still functioning apart from this basically no one has cured this using hormones. If they did feel better it was very short lived. Have him test adrenal, testicle, thyroid and pituitary function.

Basically its a waste of time and money as endos treat hormones in a very slow manner…They will tell you a testosterone level of 350 is normal…If you are 80 maybe…I seen and recommend someone like Mark Gordon who will atleast get you on a round of supplementation, clomid and trt if needed…

Nobody has had any luck with hormonal therapy? So is there nothing proactive that I can do? I eat very clean and exercise, plus take your standard recommended vitamins. There is a Dr. Keith Jarvi recommended on propeciahelp who operates near me. Is seeing someone like him worth it or am I just wasting time?

For the most part, my side effects are nonexistent libido and loss of spontaneous/nocturnal erections.

Yes I seen a lot of improvement on my protocol…Read my posts here…Point is that regular endos won’t prescribe the meds like clomid, trt etc…to you…They will tell you that you are in normal range and your crazy…You need to see someone like Dr Gordon or Dr Goldstein or Dr Crissler that will actually recognize the condition and try to help…

So did you never have any of the sexual side effects?

The low libido is what is frustrating me the most. It’s like I have zero sexual desire at all.

Not really…my libido has increased with the boost of testosterone…I got physical and mental symptoms…The physical is the worst and takes the longest to respond to treatments…If at all which I am beginning to believe it might be permanent…I gained over 50lbs of crazy weight…

Ya that is rough, I’m glad you’re seeing improvements.

I’ve heard libido/sex drive is a tough symptom to recover from. Any truth to that? I’m one year off the stuff and my sex drive is nonexistent. Erections are possible if I watch porn (which I have little desire to do), but I never get them randomly.
