Things that helped you sleep better

guys i have tried everything and i have failed to beat this shit that merck has done to us.

i turn to you because you guys are the only people that understand finesteride and what its capable of and know that its not “JUST IN THE MIND”!!!

i cant sleep properly no matter what i do

i go to sleep easily but keep waking up like 5-6 times in the night , my best guess is because of elevated cortisol from fin.

for those of you that have suffered like me, what supplements have you taken to get your sleep like it was pre-finesteride

i have tried
melatonin
tryptophan
L-Arginine (mew told me this worked for him)
all the viamins and minerals

i refuse to buy prescription drugs - i will never ever buy drugs again after finesteride - ill die first

How long have you been off?

You could try GABA supplements, although they do not cross the blood brain barrier. It may or may not have any effect.

I would try a combo of ZMA/GABA. Start with lower doses. I bought Now GABA 750mg …first day took 1, second 2, third 4. I seemed to not be as groggy in the morning… if you eased up to 4 GABA and 3 ZMA, I think you’d sleep way better.

I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t take GABA if you are on anti-anxiety type meds.

Edit- just saw Mew’s post. GABA helped me with that groggy feeling when waking. I was in the same boat, waking up all the time - I’m up to about 6 hours straight through.

i know exactly what you mean. progesterone cream helped a bit. trazodone definitely helps but not perfect. GHB does the trick but it only lasts a few hours. I didnt find any benefit from GABA supplements.

what kind of melatonin did you try? An extended release variety helped me when I couldn’t get through the night.

wellbutrin in the morning - you will sleep better at night.

When i first quit propecia, nothing worked to make me sleep well, so i asked my pshychiatrist to take Bromazepam (benzodiazepin similar to Valium) and it was a blessing.

Then after a few months when i quit it, i had a little bit of this problem again but then it got fixed with simple solutions: Valerian, Kava tea, exercise.
