muscle twitches
I just want to be of help to anyone who is having muscle twitches or muscle weakness to know that it can be your HRT. I had done fine on estratest for a number of years, then went to OBGYN and he wanted to put me on a lower dose. I went on Vivelle-Dot patch(.05). Within a couple of days my blood pressure started to go up. Next, I started having small muscle twitches, slight anxiety, night sweats. As the days progressed my muscles felt weaker and weaker, stronger muscle surging, extreme fatigue, sinus type headache and overall feeling horrible. I was in bed for 5 days…The anxiety got worse…I had called my OBGYE, he didn’t think it was related…so I went to my general practioner about blood pressure and muscle situation…He did blood tests etc,(even my blood sugar level started to be affected, although I have never had this problem before in my life!).It took about 5 days of tremendous suffering before, we realized it was the Vivelle-Dot patch. I took it off at the doctors office and went home and took the estratest. Within hours I was feeling better. The next day my blood pressure returned to normal, and my body is readjusting back to normal. It is truly amazing what a reaction your body can have to different types of HRT. I share my story to be a of help to anyone else who might have had these symptoms, and is searching for answers. May this be of help to others…
