The real reason why supplements can make you feel worse

And no, it’s probably not because the supplement itself has caused you to get worse.

What you need to know is the fact that the supplement industry, at least in the U.S, is not controlled/regulated at all. This means that supplement companies can put anything into their supplements from “harmless FDA approved drugs”(you see the connection there?) to illegal drugs such as oral anabolic steroids that were found in some bodybuilding supplements. They can also put nothing there at all, so the only thing that you get is a placebo effect.

There are many forum users here (myself included) that claim they got long lasting side effects from seemingly harmless natural herbs such as saw palmetto, stinging nettle, etc. To be honest, I don’t think that some tree leaves would be capable of having such tremendous effects on the human body. Just to let you know, a user douglasmich committed suicide, and he was using saw palmetto for 2 weeks or so. What could be the reason why we got sides from something like sp is perhaps because of finasteride or dutasteride put together with the “useless” extracts. At this point, I think you know that combining saw palmetto with pharmaceutical 5 ari is overkill.

Also, putting finasteride into let’s say a saw palmetto pill would be more cost effective for companies as finasteride is cheaper than saw palmetto.

I suggest an edit:

This is the truth of the situation, I’m afraid.

Natural does not equal harmless. Ask anyone who’s been bitten by a venomous snake or insect.

I understand what you are trying to imply, though, snake venom will cause harm/death in 99.9% of the cases, while saw palmetto, even if we assume that no fin/dut were added to the mix, will cause long-lasting sides in around 1-5% of the cases at best. Keep in mind that saw palmetto is used by millions daily, and there are more cases of fin sides than saw.
I may be wrong though, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

I always wondered if these supplements I took contained drugs. I got my problem from test boosters containing saw palmetto.

Its proven that sexual enhancing products are laced with Viagra or other derivatives. Almost all of them are.

You’re suggesting that Saw Palmetto extract is being contaminated with Finasteride.

Your suggestion is that saw Palmetto is by your estimation not powerful enough to trigger side effects therefore people who do get side effects have taken contaminated saw Palmetto.

Of all the things to add to the conversation here, I don’t know what good comes from this. Even if you’re correct, it doesn’t help anyone understand their condition, the scientific effort or how to get better.

The best advice on this subject is to avoid 5ar inhibitors.

Unless I’ve missed something, this topic has run it’s course.
