the Rawfood Diet

Wow. Didn’t notice that. Pretty beat. Unbelievable actually…

I would think a recovery belongs in the “Recovery” section.

So I’m about two weeks into the raw food diet. The thing I actually love the most is the convenience… I’m in college, which means I’m poor and busy, so having a diet based on blending bananas and cutting up cucumbers is great. No real preparation involved. The problem is in making sure I get enough calories, although I think I’ve improved with that a bit and I’m also no longer hungry a lot like I was early on… not trying to lose weight on this or anything. Also, staying away from my favorite restaurants and the social aspect of it is a little tough, but whatever. I’ve actually had “nightmares” where I’ve eaten a piece of chocolate or something else I wasn’t supposed to, haha.

My plan right now is to keep this going until the end of March (90 days) and then switch to a paleo-diet, which in practice would basically still be 80%+ raw but include more cooked vegetables and occasional trips to restaurants as well. Beyond that, the paleo-diet seems diverse enough that I don’t see myself ever getting off it… probably just alternating between entirely raw and 80% raw months.

My situation right now is a little discouraging. I’ve gotten to a point where it’s hard for me to imagine my situation getting significantly better, even though I have faith it eventually will. I’ve been off fin for 13 months now, and yesterday I had near total-ED… my girlfriend was all over me and wanted it bad but I was just not interested… went through the motions 40% hard. Have yet to find a natural supplement that works for me, so I hope to ask the endo for viagra at my appointment a week from now. If I can just find some sort of quick fix to have near-normal sex once a week, I’d be happy. Other than that, I’ll just try to live as healthy as possible (diet, exercise, sleep, etc.) and hope that my body will fix itself over the years. If my situation suddenly deteriorates, I will look into other possibilities.

Hate to break it to you, but your situation will be deteriorating over the next couple months just due to detox on this diet alone. Three months, although it seems like an eternity in the “real” world, is nothing in the raw one.

You’ve eaten a different way for your whole life. It takes time, usually more time then people are willing to give.

Just a heads up…

you will need at least 4 months till you get some results cause you will detox… i´m into it for 9 months and i´m almost healed… its hard but do we have another choice? not yet…
