Testosterone and DHT result

Hi,

I just quit propecia after 8 years and received my blood test results.

11.8 nmol/l or 340 ng/dl for testosterone

Following this table, that places me into the age group of 80 year olds:
http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/01/16/normal-testosterone-levels/

My dht is 0.93 nmol/L = 26.80115273775216 ng/dL

Could someone provide me a reference to a table by age group? I was not able to find anything in google.

My doctor mentioned that these values are fine, but to me they look too low.

Could anyone explain to me the difference between total testosterone, free testosterone and dht?

I will try and see an endocrinologist, but would like to prepare myself for this visit.

I would very much appreciate your input.

Thanks.

Free test is amt of test not bound to anything
Total test includes free test + bound test
Dht is what test converts to.

Your levels are way too low. They should be at the upper range

Good Luck. Most endocrinologist’s are useless.

Thank you for your answers.

4 months after quitting, I managed to get a second blood test.

I was wondering if you could help me read that outcome.

My doctors mentioned it looks all normal, but I guess the normal range is quite broad.

Albumin 45g/L
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) 26 nmolL
Testosterone 16 nmol/L (461ng/dl)

Calculated the below myself from the above values, not sure if that is correct…
Free Testosterone 0.37 nmol/L = 2.31 %
Bio Available Testosterone 9.05 nmol/L = 56.5 %

Estradiol (E2) (Oestradiol) 105pmol/L
Prolactin 5ug/L (5ng/ml)
Luteinizing hormone - LH 7IU/L
Follicle Stimulating Hormone - Follitropin - (FSH) 10IU/L
Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) / Corticotropin 16 ng/L
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) 1.1 mU/L
Triiodothyronine (T3) 5.4pmol/L
Free Thyroxine (T4) 15 pmol/L
DiHydroTestosterone (DHT) - 0.7 - 5.1
Vitamin D 75nmol/L
Serum Cortisol 260 nmol/L
DHEA 2000 ng/ml (5.3 umol/L)

Thanks.
