i took propecia for 5 days, today i am experiencing some testicle pain,
i just went online, saw this forum, i am terrified reading some articles. i had no idea of these side effects.

i am going to quit. will i have any side effects of quitting. will my pain go away.

should i take some extra medicines for quitting.

& i am 22 yrs old. its going take how many days for all the ill that this medicine has caused to go away from my body.

Quitting should most likely resolve your issues within 1-2 weeks or a month.

No need to take other medicines.

Why do you say 1-2 weeks to a month to recover from finasteride side effects when the half life for finasteride binding to the 5 alpha reductase II enzyme is about 30 days?

Disassociation of Finasteride-Enzyme Complex for those 5AR2 enzymes that have been bound/inhibited already can take up to 30 days… however this make no difference since any 5AR2 that had been bound is effectively irreversibly inhibited (disassociated 5AR2 enzymes are no longer active).

DHT should return to baseline within a few weeks from last dose, as new 5AR2 is (supposedly) synthesized by the body after stopping the drug.

I read in the finasteride studies literature that it takes a week or so for the 5AR enzyme pool to turn over.

I’m trying to think logically around this. If the 5AR2 enzyme pool is supposed to turn over after a week, and finasteride’s half life is 6-8 hours, and DHT returns to normal after a couple weeks, it seems as though everything should be back to normal, but guys are still experiencing side effects they say. Confounding.

supposedly? do we not know if 5ar2 is regenerated? i dont think it is because one of my balls is still hanging low and i have quit 1 year ago and i too only took the shit for less than a week
