T3 (Cytomel)

The possibility that my experiment with T3 and armour thyroid may have caused my second crash has only just really hit home. Although, to be honest it’s probably just coincidental, at least i hope it is. The dosages were quite hefty:

Phase 2, T3 only
…T3 only (round 1) = 10 mcg at 7am, 3pm, 11pm
…T3 only (round 2) = 10 mcg at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm
…T3 only (round 3) = 20 mcg at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm
…T3 only (round 4) = 30 mcg at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm

Phase 2 --transition to—> Phase 3
…T3 + T4 (round 1) = 20mcg T3 + 20mcg T4 at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm
…T3 + T4 (round 2) = 10mcg T3 + 40 mcg T4 at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm

Phase 3, T4 only
…T4 only (round 1) = 60 mcg T4 at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm
…T4 only (round 2) = 120 mcg at 7am, 3pm, 11pm
…T4 only (round 3) = 120 mcg at 7am, 7pm <— starting to back out now
…T4 only (round 4) = 90 mcg at 7am, 7pm
…T4 only (round 5) = 60 mcg at 7am, 7pm
…T4 only (round 6) = 30 mcg at 7am, 7pm

Af far as effects go; i got some decent morning wood but that’s it. T3 is supposedly quite fast acting right? i only gave it a week.

If anyone wants some cheap T3 (cytomel) i have 3 packets left over which i can send out.

You are possibly crashing because of low cortisol. Remember that T3/T4 consumes cortisol. That happened to me too. When I added T3 to my pregnenolone-only regimen, I felt very well for a few days, but then got to a low-cortisol situation. It still happens once in a while. To get out of that situation, I have to take a lot of pregnenolone, until I feel high cortisol symptoms (e.g. 1500 mg a day). As far as I remember from one of your previous posts, the quantity of pregnenolone you were taking is insufficient. If I were to take all that T3, I would need at least 700 mg of transdermal pregnenolone in order not to have low cortisol symptoms.

But, to be sure that your crash is caused by low cortisol, why don’t you describe your sides? I’m particularly interested in your heart rate: is it slow? or, is your heart beat very “loud” (typical symptom of too much thyroid medication)? And, also, did your mental sides (brain fog, depression) get worse during the crash (typical symptoms of low pregnenolone)? Try not to focus on the sexual sides because many hormones contribute to them, while only few hormones contribute to the symptoms I’ve listed.

I definitely feel better on dexamethasone taken in the am and 30 mcg T3 a day.

Yep, high cortisol and high thyroid hormones. That’s the whole idea of boosting the metabolic rate. But I think you can’t keep taking dexa for a long time. Are you on dexa right now or was it a past experiment? I have been boosting my metabolic rate with pregnenolone and T4 for many months now, and, yes, I feel better than before in many aspects. But the sexual improvements on this regimen have been unsatisfactory. How about you?

Are you still doing your fin experiment at the same time, UK?

Well today, at least sexually i have been feeling pretty good, popped a solid erection in the car from mental stimulation, something that is now foreign to me. My temperature is up to 37.3 which is a very good sign. However, i am sleep deprived and i tend to feel better sexually with less sleep so that could be playing a big part.

Sometimes signs of improvement are not obvious; for example tonight i have watched two movies and thoroughly enjoyed them, sitting down watching with no other care. I often feel too uncomfortable/ anxious to even sit for an hour unless i put in a lot of effort to distract myself. More oily skin, some sebum shine on my head, looking people directly in the eyes during conversation. Some of these improvements may be due to the finasteride though - i noticed my skin being much more oily and sebum shine coming back to my head since i took it.

I have absolutely no intentions of staying on the dexamethasone, i have 7 tabs left so i thought i may as well use them now before i drop all meds and supplements for a while.

I am weighing up what to do next; firstly i need to go on a doctor hunt again - not for treatment but for blood tests. Clomid, hydrocortisone and T3 is something i am considering.

The benefits of propecia lead me to believe that testosterone could well be an issue for me. I have not slept like i did on finasteride in a very, very long time.

Bluejays - no i stopped the fin about a week ago.
